Well, I sometimes feel a bit embarrassed listening to Michael Jackson...Peter Sellers, Harry Champion, and especially Davy Jones (god, why did he have to do that song!!). In this day and age, people look at ya funny for listening to funny things..at least they do to me..

No need to be embarrassed about Davy Jones...well, maybe if it's just him, but The Monkees are nothing to be laughed at. They have such a bad rep! Honest to goodness, they're one of my favorite bands ever. And don't ever be ashamed of any music you like...unless, of course, it's Dave Matthews Band (sarcasm, okay? don't get all ruffled now...)

LoL, no I agree. I'm not really ashamed, more just I don't want to be listening to Peter Allen when my buddys are around, because I'll never hear the end of it you know...

When my baby, when my baby smiles at me I go to Rio!!

Come on, sing it if ya know it!...okay, don't then...thats fine..

I'm getting a lollipop

Ah, "The Monkees..."

Who can forget Mike, Peter, Mickey and Davy?

Who can forget the Partridge Family (raise hands if you want to!)?

Who can forget the Cowsills? (Barry was my dreamboat.)

I like your list.

What I like better are what my hubby and I call "Silly songs."

We wish we had a radio station that we could broadcast all the songs we like, and do specials like "Silly Song Day."

Anyone remember when the "Sonny and Cher" program used to have those cartoon songs for ones like "Brand New Rollerskates" or "Paved Paradise?" And who can forget such greats as "Midnight at the Oasis," tons of Ray Stevens songs, "Disco Duck," the list goes on and on!

Ah, the days of youth...

And to think that today's kids can someday hear songs by Kid Rock, Emenim (spelling!) or *NSYNC and turn to each other and say, "Listen, darling, their playing our song..."

Jeeze...Its amazing to me that I'm so young and have heard of every group you've mentioned wolfy. How about Chers "Gypsys Tramps and Theives?" There's a song for ya! Or what about "One Night in Bangkok" from Chess? I loved that song. God yes, we need a silly music day. Not a fan of Disco Duck, but I'd definitly spin "I am the Walrus" once or twice (oh and if you don't know wolfy, around here, I am the Walrus  So a Koo Koo Kachu to you!)

Yeah, something tells me my sister will have to get up and dance when she hears Craig David anywhere. She made me take her to his concert...dear lord. But there were alot of teenage girls there, so I kept myself busy.

Ok, this has been buggin' me for awhile, so I am just gonna say it... it is "goo goo g'joob". Sorry, but it is.

"I Am the Walrus"

I am he as you are he as you are me and we are all together.
See how they run like pigs from a gun, see how they fly.
I'm crying.

Sitting on a cornflake, waiting for the van to come.
Corporation tee-shirt, stupid bloody Tuesday.
Man, you been a naughty boy, you let your face grow long.
I am the eggman, they are the eggmen.
I am the walrus, goo goo g'joob.

Mister City Policeman sitting
Pretty little policemen in a row.
See how they fly like Lucy in the Sky, see how they run.
I'm crying, I'm crying.
I'm crying, I'm crying.

Yellow matter custard, dripping from a dead dog's eye.
Crabalocker fishwife, pornographic priestess,
Boy, you been a naughty girl you let your knickers down.
I am the eggman, they are the eggmen.
I am the walrus, goo goo g'joob.

Sitting in an English garden waiting for the sun.
If the sun don't come, you get a tan
From standing in the English rain.
I am the eggman, they are the eggmen.
I am the walrus, goo goo g'joob g'goo goo g'joob.

Expert textpert choking smokers,
Don't you think the joker laughs at you?
See how they smile like pigs in a sty,
See how they snied.
I'm crying.

Semolina pilchard, climbing up the Eiffel Tower.
Elementary penguin singing Hari Krishna.
Man, you should have seen them kicking Edgar Alan Poe.
I am the eggman, they are the eggmen.
I am the walrus, goo goo g'joob g'goo goo g'joob.
Goo goo g'joob g'goo goo g'joob g'goo.
