Honestly, even though I feel like John Korty would probably have a hissy fit over it since it would be a wide release, I think (both) versions of “Twice Upon a Time” should go on HBO Max for streaming (maybe with a disclaimer on the uncut version with improvised dirty language). More fans of Korty’s work on Sesame Street and the Electric Company can have the chance to check it out besides a hard to find VHS/laserdisc (the former of which I own mainly for full screen viewing) and a Warner Archive DVD (which I also have) and it’d give it a much wider release. And if possible, maybe that could even lead to the movie getting a soundtrack release (I don’t ever see that happening but hey, I can dream).

Not gonna lie, I really wish there was a full, clean instrumental of this track; it could make some good montage or intro music:

I mean, it doesn’t feature much dialogue over it, nor any sound effects (or at least obvious ones).

That’s why I said clean (the tap dancing shoe areas unfortunately get in the way).

No worries, it’s common as a phrase for “no sound effects/dialogue” just as “clean” can also mean “appropriate.”

So I’ve always loved how the concert scene plays out in the “Eye to Eye” part of “A Goofy Movie,” with all the effects, scene transitions from location to location and how well the animation plays out, but two bits that always really stuck out for me were the shot of Pete’s beer flowing down his big screen (I dunno, I was always particularly fascinated with the detail of the fizz and how it changed the color from blue to brown), and the mouth transition shot of the back-up singer dressed up as Jessica Rabbit to Powerline.

Show of hands, how many people still here on MC besides Mikaela remember KGZ, my old (pseudo-official) fan site that was dedicated to Kathy Greenwood? Well, as of this date, KGZ is now completely dead and offline. I received an email from the host back in the fall saying that they had actually been bought out by VistaPrint several years back, and were spending all of this time dissolving their old host and migrating everything over to VistaPrint's server. Now, people who had websites that were being hosted with Webs had two choices: if they had premium accounts and had paid-for websites being hosted, they could migrate everything over to VistaPrint without any disruption to their accounts or their websites; if they had free accounts and free websites being hosted, they either had to pay a fee and purchase a VistaPrint account to continue with their services, or they just had to let their accounts and websites die.

Since it honestly hasn't been such a high priority for me in years, and considering the world of social media has made it easy for fans to follow and stay in the loop of what celebrities and entertainers are doing, I really saw no necessity to continue, so I chose to let KGZ die.

Looking back on it, my memories of KGZ are actually rather bittersweet . . . I mean, it was my first time creating and maintaining a website, and from that perspective, I loved it: I loved learning about whatever new shows or projects Kathy was involved in and then updating the website to share that information, and I especially loved how I was able to evolve the site over the years as I figured out better and more eye-catching layouts and such, as you can see here:

On the other hand, I don't have pleasant memories of how I made so many enemies with this website, and how I ended up having an entire fandom (Whose Line) basically turn on and ostracize me because I was so immature and weak-willed that I couldn't handle the fandom's constant and incessent criticism of Kathy Greenwood (I mean no fooling, she was almost like a Scrappy to the entire fandom, and it just ****** me off that everybody always talked **** about her tha tI would always overract and blow up over their constant criticism).

On another note, I've also self-published some fanfics over the years through Webs, such as a collection of Alvin and The Chipmunks fanfics, which will now be lost to time as well because of this.

I say psuedo-official because Kathy knew of its existence - I don't think she had ever actually seen it because she wasn't exactly tech savvy back then, but I wrote to her about it, and she sent me a few things to help fill in the blanks, like her resume (as well as her autograph), and said she was very flattered that somebody took the time to do a website for her.
