@Sgt. Floyd trust me, I've been in your shoes. Fear cripples you. It puts you in a corner and paralyzed you and keeps you from trying anything.
I spent years living like that and found it does no good.
I encourage you to try, especially with driving.Yes, it's scary out there. But worse than being scared is the nagging feeling of "Other people can do it. Why can't I? And the biggest victory comes from conquering something that's always held you back.

The difference between a winner and a loser:
A winner looks at a problem and says:
"it's hard, but it's possible".
A loser looks at the same problems do says:
"It's possible but it's too hard".
Don't give up . Don't quit. As long as you don't give up on you, neither will anybody else.

I couldn't have said it better myself. I'd like to call you Reverend Brian from now on because you really do preach the gospel, the truth, and then some!

Thank you kind sir. That name wouldn't be too far from the truth. Besides singing in my church, I have done some lay ministry. Someday I may just become a reverend. I'm not good at the administrative side of running a church, but I've had a taste of preaching, and that might be my calling.

So I’ll be honest, I would love to jam with @hooperfan (after hearing him sing), @cjd874 and @fuzzygobo (with their taste in music).

I’d have to sing vocals though cause I can’t play any instruments. 😅
That's fine with me. Bass is my axe, but I can sit behind the drums in a pinch. I can chip in on harmonies, but it takes a lot of wind to get through a whole song.

I am 1000% in support of this. Mainly I sing and play the drums, a la Phil Collins, Ringo Starr, Don Henley, Roger Taylor, etc. Sometimes I can play some chords on the piano (I can play some Billy Joel and Elton John tunes) and can walk on the bass decently too (mostly Beatles tunes). As a music teacher, I've also learned some basic skills for playing brass instruments and woodwinds too---but don't expect me to sound like Dizzy Gillespie or Wayne Shorter!

So, I'm going to say this just to troll @D'Snowth.

In spite of myself not really being a big fan of her music, or her personality for that matter (in most cases)..... for years, and I know I brought this up when her new album version came out in 2017, for years and years, I've waited to see Taylor Swift try on black lipstick..... and I was a happy man.

(Yes, I'm very, very lame and weird like that).
