Funny you should mention that. When Emmy originally posted this, everyone else said the same thing. What does he mean by "he said he works for the Muppets"? As though the interviewer's not entirely convinced! Lol Well, if you're not entirely convinced, don't quote the person, sheesh! (Though, in this case, I'm glad he did!)

Though, it does make me wonder how this interview came about. Was Jim there as well since it was a puppet exhibit? If so, it would have been fairly easy to determine if someone else was a co-worker. Did the interviewer just happen to stumble upon Richard? That's what it sounds like. Heh

That's kinda funny... like, the interviewer just comes in, and starts talking to this random dude who "says he works for the Muppets" and the interviewer's like sure... what the hey, I'll quote ya! Smart move, I must say. That is kinda weird, though!

Yeah...whoever was conducting the interview should have asked Richard a few more questions, if he or she weren't entirely sure about Richard's role with the Muppets, and then perhaps talked to other sources.

Yeah. I don't know, it just seems weird in general that the interviewer didn't know he worked for them. Like you said earlier, Erin, I think that person should've done a little more research before going out to do that interview! Since it was from 1980... they definitely should've known by that time!

I'm not that surprised, the press tend to only know the most famous public figures of a group.

Actually, it sounds like the interviewer was perhaps reflecting on the fact that he didn't know who Richard was, which lead to the comment about anonymity.
