Very true. One of the articles on MC is about the Muppeteers filming the tribute to Jim Henson:
"The feeling Sunday is that of an early Thanksgiving family reunion: raucous camaraderie as they lunch on lasagna, hearty laughter as they discuss the rigorous joys of Muppetry. They speak of being 'quietly proud' of their craft, working in anonynity as their characters became world superstars. They take comfort in knowing they do their jobs well, remembering how long it took to learn the technical skills so the emotional flamboyance could come through."
You know, I rarely enjoy watching the Oscars. I get turned off by seeing all these super star celebs being celebrated, when so many barely deserve it. The real talents are often the ones you never hear about, the ones you never get to see.
They're also doing something called "The Spirit Awards" tonight, about Independent films. But all the people shown on the commerical are exactly the same people who will be at the Oscars. There are plenty of decent actors who appear in independent films all the time. But all we get to see are the super famous people.
