Thanks, MN, Happy 4th to you too!

I'm spending the night looking after the puppy, he's a little skiddish about his first fireworks, hehe. Well he was upset before but now he's getting used to it. He's sleeping now and when the noise happens, he just tries to curl up and ignore it, lol.

On a happier note, he's 1 year old this month!
Yeah, they always tell you that dogs freak out around fireworks - then again, when you consider that their sight and hearing is a lot more sensitive than ours, it's understandable.

Now I'm going to share a 4th of July puppy story. At the display I went to, I saw this one dog that looked almost exactly like my dog Marta. Same breed, almost the exact same color and markings - it was almost like seeing a ghost.

So, I had to go over and say hello, and in true puppy fashion, he kept jumping all over me and licking me, and it was all his owners could do to keep him in line.

Aw, that's so cute, MN! Actually the other day I saw a photo of a dog that greatly resembled my puppy. If the markings hadn't been slightly different, I seriously would have thought my puppy had taken a secret business trip! It was indeed almost spooky! Lol

Did you guys see this thread on the Muppets at Disney World outtakes?

Richard has a couple of cute moments, like when he seems to forget his line as Beaker and gets clocked on the head by the Swedish Chef/Jim, lol.

Haha! Love that clip! Especially love the in-fighting between the Mayhem band. Too funny! And also love it when fuzzy like "Can we get the next guy in here?" LOL!

And I heard a few well-placed cackles from Richard, of course.

(looks down at users bar) Hi, Steve - how's everything going with the show? (sets out pitcher of orange juice and plate of donuts)

Hiya! Show stuff's going well, I couldn't be happier. What did you think about the Richard & Frank blooper reel from the Declaration of Independence sketch?

Oh, it was priceless - first it was "I thought you were going to yell at us again," and something about Richard getting the feather in his face, and then the whole sketch slowly goes to pieces. With each subsequent take, it sounds like Richard and Frank are having more and more trouble doing the scene without laughing, and the crew's certainly getting a kick out of it as well.

"I follow Frank wherever he goes, because I know that within the hour, he's going to get back to the bit."

For the rest of you guys, I think it's about 16 to 18 minutes in - well done, Steve.

Oh man, I hadn't noticed that yet, thanks so much, Steve, that was wonderful! Really made my night.

That's why these guys (Richard and Frank of course) are my two favorite Sesame Street performers. You really can't beat two such different yet spot on senses of humor. And you can tell they really enjoyed working together.:super:

And I love how Richard keeps slipping from the Don Music voice into his normal voice, freaky but very cool! Lol

And that bit about, "Don't be taken aback, those are moments of creative inspiration" for some reason I could easily hear Scooter saying something similar to Fozzie on Muppet Show, lol.

I know - one moment he's doing the Don Music voice, and then he drops back down into his normal voice and accent. It is kinda cool - and it really says something about Richard's skill at doing all these different voices.

It's too bad that there wasn't a video of that scene; it would have been really fun to be standing on the sidelines watching Richard and Frank go through their paces - and slowly lose it.

And you're right - that is something that Scooter would say to Fozzie, when he's coaxing him into doing some monologue or other.

I noticed the same thing when they showed the "Oklahoma" sketch during the event at William Paterson; Kermit and Forgetful Jones' assorted arguments sounded like something you'd hear on the Muppet Show when everything is going awry.

Someone just posted this, it just looks like, and it's also mentioned in the thread "Great Group Photo."

But here are the guys posing for Richard Termine and his camera while seated on the stairs at the Henson townhouse. And in the other thread, they said that it was during rehearsals for the WDW special, so it must have been in late 1989 or early 1990.

I think the original file's posted on Jim's page on Muppet wiki. It's a cool photo - they all look so chummy.
