It's more like a pilot for a failed TV series that Jim Henson wanted to do. It had Fred Newman cast in the lead role, and Richard played the best friend to Fred's character. They both worked on this children's television show called "Dragon Time". The premise of the show was supposed to be Fred's character balancing work with suddenly having to take care of his young son after his ex-wife goes on tour with an acting company.

Wow that's some dream Erin.
Can I ask what Puppetman is please? I take it it's a television program from the way you described your dream.
Kim summed it up perfectly - it's a pilot that never became an actual show. Ironically, when the pilot was shown as part of a series of pilots, it got one of the highest ratings among viewers.

Richard played the part of Gary's friend and performing partner, Del - and like the actor/puppeteer who played him, Del had a soft spot for children, along with sarcastic streak reserved for certain temperamental co-stars. And like I said, it's Del who rescued that missing girl in the dream.

Hi, Sara, hope the honeymoon's going well!

Hey when did this get moved to the Henson People section? Now we at the Ask Jim thread have to compete with RHLC, I find that an honer and a curse at the same time.
Aw, hehe, we won't be too intrusive.

Seriously though I'm glad you all are here in the Henson people section, and stop by the Ask Jim Lewis Thread. We would love to have ya!
Yeah I'll try to think of something, I haven't posted a question for a long time!

Thanks for the welcome-backs, guys. I missed you all a lot too!

Lol, Erin, I had been wondering where your signature was from, too. Very cool that it's from M*A*S*H. And what a sweet dream you had. I love it! It's so Richard; we all know that if anyone, he (and/or his character) would be the one going far out of his way to rescue the missing girl and making sure she was safe, comfortable and happy.

Heralde! Thank you for the well-wishes in seeing Trading Places, lol. One of these days... I think Richard will help me in seeing it!

Sara, I'm so glad your wedding went well. Hope you're having a great time on your honeymoon!

Thank you Kim. That was very interesting to learn about. I'd sure like to see it one day.

And Caroline. I have to say I love your new signature. It's such a true message indeed. Despite all our differences we are all human beings, and the same deep down.
