I have a habit of losing jewelry too; it's one of the reasons I don't have pierced ears; I'd just lose the earrings. (Main reason for not getting pierced is my fear of needles.)
Yeah, I don't have pierced ears either, I don't want to bring myself more pain than is necessary!
Great that you liked Old School, Kiki! Well, let's see, I haven't really watched a lot of it yet, but I'll write what I can so far...
I just want to go on record one more time saying I think it was unnecessary to discourage kids from seeing this old episodes. There, I've said it.
I'd see the pilot before, and I'm so happy to own it now! And it looks so sharp, crisp and new(and just think, Richard might have been watching these shows before he joined the company, hehe). I'm a big fan of classic media and to have all of this is a dream come true.
Old School reminded me of why I used to watch Sesame Street everyday (also why I was a little scared of it too! lol). It gave me a love of big cities and taught me many important things over the years.
A lot of people have complained about the cow sketch, that it lasted too long. It probably did, but I love it. It reminds me of all the mellow live action sketches SS used to do. And I loved Gordon and Sally's little exchange:
Sally: When I was little, I used to drink coffee!
Gordon: Well, that was just one short experience!
It's interesting how much of the street scenes were clearly ad-libbed. And how many mistakes the actors would make, especially during the "One of these things" numbers. But of course their funds were probably limited; they had to use what they had.
Mainly, I enjoyed seeing the adults, it's funny seeing them look so young and hip, lol. Though, heh, original Gordon was a bit chauvanistic! But of course, I am seeing it from a more modern perspective.
