Let's see...I didn't join the forum until late last February, so I don't think I ever met Amy. But it sounds like she would have been fun to know, judging from what you guys have said.

So Richard was her favorite of the Muppeteers? I wonder if, after she got let in through the Pearly Gates and welcomed into the ranks of the angels and all that celestial jazz, Richard was there to give her a hug. Who knows?

Wow, you know, we never seem to be at a loss for material. The PBS website has a talk back section for viewers to comment on the World According to Sesame Street special. Here's what one person wrote:

"That was such an impressive show and rang a bell with me as I've been involved with Cross-Cultural Solutions for a long time. www.crossculturalsolutions.org CCS has the same goals as Sesame Street. Also Richard Hunt was very kind to my children and friends - the only time I was in the Twin Towers was as his guest before we went to a Sesame Street taping."

Nice of her to mention that! Here's the website itself, her comment is towards the bottom

Been awhile since I've been here. I'm scrambling around trying to take care of some stuff. Nice to hear that we've apperently got a new member! Great to hear it...my friends wedding is this Saturday, so I'll give a rousing detailed expose on it later that day. It's at 2pm, and I'll be there for a few hours, so get ready to hear all about it!

Plus I've bought an engagment/wedding ring set off of ebay too. Can't wait for it to come, I'll post a few links to pictures of it, once I get it!

Well that's cool that you could get your engagement/wedding set on Ebay. I'd like to go on there, but I'm still sort of afraid! lol

I think one of the problem's with Ebay is when you pay yur money to somone on their you really have no way of telling it the person on the other side is honest or not! You don't know if their saying they have somthing and don't really have it.

Aww that's so cute and sweet... thanks for posting that, heralde! I gotta say, I love how we keep getting new material!

How cool that you bought your engagement/wedding set on Ebay, Sara. I also can't wait to see it!

Yeah, I understand what you mean, heralde. I used to do Ebay a lot, and my dad and I had real bad luck with Ebay a few times before! Like a few kinda bad quality things, and this one seller that just took our money and ran... real sweet, right? But overall I've had really good experiences, so I don't mind it sometimes!

Well a good thing to look out for is stuff that looks hokey. Also read their feedback extensively before purchasing! And look for different usernames, maybe even click on a few to make sure their active sellers/buyers and that they seem legit as well.

Gotta be real careful with stuff of that matter!

The rings only cost me $9.99 + $5 s&h. It's syntehic diamond (pretty cheap) with rodium (also cheap), silver-plated bands. I just want a beautiful wedding ring/engagement ring set for not a lot of money.

Mother has been raving about me buying my own engagment/wedding ring set, and here's a few of the statements she's said regarding it.

"The guy has to buy it for you!"
"I can't believe you went on ebay of all places to a ring set..."
"Even if you go with the guy, he should buy it for you....or it should at least be bought at a jeweler's..."

I figured I'd just placate her by saying "It's just a backup incase something ever actually happened with the real wedding rings." Plus it'll be a nice stand-in. Cause frankly....I'm not a big ring-wearer. I mean, they're beautiful, and a long-standing testament to time, but I've got a bad habit of losing jewelery!!!

Why break the bank on a set of rings that I could possibly lose very quickly! Heck, I'll just get Stephen (my fiancee) a simple sterling silver rounded band that kinda matches mine (minus jewels) and that'll be his.

Silver (or silver tones) look great on us anyways. The heck with gold I say!

That's good advice, Sara. And a good deal. Forget what your mom says, you know what works for you!
