I'm a big fan of the Christmas specials, if I don't get to watch them, I don't feel like I've celebrated!
My favorites are Charlie Brown, the Grinch (the cartoon, not the movie), Frosty and 'Twas the Night Before Christmas. Oddly enough, I never saw the Rankin and Bass claymation specials until fairly recently, but they're great too. Wonderful historical documents. They're 40 years old, and still excellent! Goes to show, just because something's old doesn't mean you throw it away. And they had no problem talking about the religious meaning of Christmas.
We finally got our tree this past weekend. We got a Frasier fir this year, instead of the usual Balsam fir. Somehow it just looks fuller, and it holds the heavy ornaments better.
All I need to go now is wrap the presents. I keep putting it off, mainly so I'll have something to look forward to.
Anyone else prepared (or not as the case may be)?
