Thought I'd bump the thread up a bit.

You know, it's bizarre: I think I had Richard show up in a dream during the night, but I honestly can't remember what happened!

You know, I think the same thing happened to me recently! That's always odd, what's the point of having dreams if you can't remember them afterward! Hehe

You know, I was just thinking randomly the other day, I think this is my favorite shot of Richard. Probably because it was the first time I ever really saw him when I stumbled on Muppet Central's tribute page. Sort of laid the ground work after that, you know what I mean?

There aren't that many photos of him on the web unfortunately, but does anyone else have a shot they particularly liked?

The first time I saw Richard in a photo was in that kind of mainstream Muppet book which name escapes me for the moment...Jim henson: The works I think. And I kept noticing this cute little crazy guy in the pictures, so I eventually found his name, and then it said -1992, and then I looked him up, and found rhuntfan.

Yeah, The Works has some great photos, Meep! I like the one of Richard and Jim with Statler and Waldorf.

Actually, now that I think about it, I used to own that Sesame Street Unpaved book. Richard's name was all over the place, so that's the first time I ever saw his name connected with the Muppets. There wasn't an individual bio or photo for him, only for the people working on the show at the time (except Jim and Frank cause, yeah, they're Jim and Frank!).

But I know Kevin Clash explained why Richard didn't want Elmo. Something like, "Richard's characters were very loud and direct, very specific. The quiet monster didn't work well with Richard's repertoire." So that was my first impression of him, which turned out to be pretty accurate! lol

The first picture I ever saw of Richard was the same one that you posted the link to, heralde. The one on that Tributes page. I kept seeing his name over and over again every time I watched the Muppet Christmas Carol, so finally one day, I just had to look him up and see what he had done and find out about all the contributions that he made to the Muppet world. And that page was the first thing that came up when I did a search on his name. And when I saw the picture, I was surprised by how young he looked, and how young he was when he passed. That is a great question, by the way, heralde!

And as for pictures that I especially like... I don't know what it is, but I've always liked this one: http://www.wellige.com/ulli/images/muppets_richardhunt4.jpg.

Though it is hard to choose a specific favorite, I do rully like that one. Oh, and another one I rully liked was in the Of Muppets and Men book of him sitting in a chair, reading, and wearing a hard hat (I believe). That's actually probably my favorite that I've seen.

Ha, I loved that picture too Skye, the one with the American flag hard hat. I could just picture some poor intern kid walking in the room to discover some weird guy just reading the newspaper with a giant flag coming out of his head, and not quite knowing what to do.

Here's one of my favorites. He just looks so delightfully devious and yet like he's not fully enjoying being in such a painful position in such close proximity to that other dude-

I think my favorite in Of Muppets and Men is the "indefatigable" photo.

It's funny, I have no memory of why I ended up at Richard's tribute page on MC. I was probably looking up Muppet stuff, but I didn't know who he was, so it's not like I was looking. I just remember reading it for the first time. I think my first impression was "Oh wow, I didn't know 'Scooter' had died!" My friends had the same reaction, we hadn't really seen the newer films, so we didn't know he was absent.

I think I was also intrigued by how he was only 18 when he joined The Muppets. And how at first he seemed a little intimidating from the descriptions on the tributes, but that he was really a good person to know (sort of like a lot of his characters).

Ha, MBM, I can picture that intern, too. Definitely an interesting place to be, though! And ya know, I've never seen that one picture before. Sometimes I watch muppeteers and just have to think, "Man, that has got to be uncomfortable!" That is a very entertaining picture!

Heralde, it is interesting that he was so young when he joined. And I do really like how he seemed to be like a lot of his characters.
