Nice costume idea, Sara!

And that's great about the Rachel Ray show, Fragglemuppet! You're very lucky, I've never been to a real talk show.

I probably should start a separate thread on this, but I wanted to tell you guys first!

Tonight, The Museum of TV and Radio premiered the documentary The World According to Sesame Street. It was about the efforts to bring Sesame Street to other countries like Bangladesh and Kosovo, and all the difficulties they have adapting the show and dealing with the countries' political and social problems. It was at times very funny, other times very sad. But a fantastic documentary! It really gets you thinking.

After the screening, there was a Q&A with a panel, which included Marty Robinson!!!! (Telly, Snuffy). I knew he was going to be there, but it was still a shock when I saw him go up on stage! It was like seeing a familiar photo suddenly come to life in front of you. Someone asked him if he held the record for the longest running Muppet performer. He said "Oh no, I've only been in for 20 years, I'm the new guy!" Lol

And as if the evening couldn't get any better, Marty brought out Telly and performed him for us! I'd never seen a Muppet in person before so it was an especially big thrill for me. I think I had a permanent grin on the entire time. Fantastic night!

Oh, I don't know if anyone's read Marty Robinson's message about Richard on the Your face! site. But I was telling my Dad about it; how Marty wrote that Richard was at times very hard on new puppeteers. Later, I showed a picture of Richard to my Dad, who jokingly said, "Oh is that the dictator?" Hehe!

Yeah, very cool costume idea, Sara.

That's a great story, Kate, and very funny. Thanks for sharing!

Heralde, that is awesome!! Wow, that Museum sounds cooler and cooler to me. That documentary does sound very interesting, and it's so totally awesome that Marty was there. "Fantastic night" is right! I can imagine. That's very cute what your Dad said about Richard, too. He was the coolest dictator around, I guess!

Fragglemuppet, it is great to know that you can still hear Muppet references in the world! I feel bad for that stand-up guy though, it's a hard living (or so I'm told)!

Hehe, yeah Skye, Richard's the coolest dictator around!

I should really get some sleep now. Goodnight, everybody!

*cackles like a witch* Man this month is awesome!! I love October!!!

It gets a little colder, the days are a little longer, it's just so cool.

Ooh!!!

The Wicked Witch of the South....Carolina!

That's my inital makeup test of me as the Wicked Witch of the West, or Elphaba, as she's known in "Wicked" (both the book and the musical).

Sorry to crush the dreams of dressing up as Richard Hunt, but I realized not many people would actually know who I was! So I'm dressing up as Richard Hunt when I go to church to help the Fall Festival out.

For TWW, I'm going to be wearing a long-sleeved black turtleneck sweater, along with black pants and black flat pumps. I'm going to also do the tops of my hands (if I did the palms I would most likely get green color all over the groceries and money...XD), and the tops of my feet that will be visible in the pumps.
Sounds cool, Sara! :excited: Yeah, October rocks. It's my bro's b-day on the 20th so I better get organised, eh? Say, I havn't seen Wicked but it looks rully groovy!!

Btw, awesome story, kate! And Heralde, The World According to SS thing sounds like fun! I wish our museum's had that sorta stuff, we have like, nothing Muppety 'ere! You cannot find ANYTHING FR, either! Rully sucks.

I know how you feel, Kiki. Actually it feels like The Museum is one of the last places to find really good Muppet stuff in the U.S.

(Yeah yeah I know I said I was leaving!)

Oh... your'e so lucky! I'm, like, envious! We'd necer have that kinda stuff in our museums. Our libraries are rully a good sorce of Muppet stuff, either. I mean you can get The Words and stuff, but that is like, all.

Ooh! Well my school library has Of Muppets & men, which is pretty cool. It hasn't been borrowed since 1986, lol! Sooo I'm the only one who's really borrowed it since then. In fact the librarian said she might give it to me cause I've borrowed it all the time for so many years. We can only hope, eh? :excited:

Yeah, that would be sweet! Good luck! And just do what I do if you're feeling muppet deprived. Slip muppet quotes into conversations whenever even mildly appropriate, and sing muppet songs at every opportunity!
And Heralde, you were at the museum, and I wasn't? "Oh, what a world, what a world!"
:stick_out_tongue: Just kidding, I'm glad you had a good time.

Well think of it this way, Kiki. You may feel like you're missing out, but I know so many people (including myself) who would LOVE to visit Australia.
