Aw, thanks. I like advertising The Museum, it serves a valuable purpose, preserving Television. And they really came through earlier this year with their screenings during the Muppets 50th Anniversary.

I feel guilty sometimes though because I've been able to get there a lot, but I know that's not the case for everyone.

Aw, no, you shouldn't feel guilty at all. I would love to go there, but I also love when you talk about it... you're very good with descriptions, so it's often the next best thing to being there, for me!

Aw, wow, thanks again! :halo: (I've never used the Animal one before, he's so cute!) Glad I can provide a service for the thread. Btw, if any Richard fans get there at some point, I'd recommend viewing the 60 Minutes segment, the Puppetman pilot, or Of Muppets and Men.

If you're a Non-member, you can only choose two shows to view. However, you can go and pick a third program when you're done with the first two, if you ask in enough time. The Museum employees will know all about that.

Frank was also asked about Grover and he explained how why Grover doesn't use contractions. Then he said "cannot" in Grover's voice. The entire audience started applauding!

So...why is it that Grover doesn't use contractions? I've always been curious.

Also, thanks for welcoming me in here. I'll pop in once in a while.

Yeah, I always wondered about that too. It's that Grover is always so determined to get a point across and teach something to the audience (Such as what "over, under and through" means!), so he tries to be very careful and exact. I think it's the same reason why he wears himself out after every segment, he's just trying so hard!

Frank also said that while some of his other Sesame Street characters were thought out well in advance (Cookie Monster likes cookies, Bert is boring etc), Grover was an "organic" character that just developed on his own.

Btw, Sara, what does the video podcast idea entail? I'm not up on these things.

Ooh... I feel so embarassed!
Sorry Herald, pronounciation similarities are to blame.

Would love to go to the Museum some day.

That's a cute story with Grover. And thanks for the recommendations on what to view! I really want to see Of Muppets And Men, though the 60 Minutes segment has really peaked my interest now, too.

Of Muppets and Men is actually quite good. And I've watched it about forty times on this little computer, and I keep seeing new things.

I had to get a copy through Ebay, by buying the Best of the Muppets Volume 1 or 2 (I forget), and it had a British region code, so I have to play it through my computer. That's the only way to get it, as I know of. Or you could join Puppeteers of America and get it from their media library. Hope that helps.

Oh yeah, I definitely imagine it being rully great. I also tried to get it off of Ebay (just the special), but... yeah, those can be pretty expensive. And the only fairly cheap one I found there, I missed out on, unfortunately. So, I think the way you got it is really interesting. That was quite helpful, MBM... I will try looking into both of your suggestions. Thank you!
