Wow, Sara, I'm impressed! That's so awesome! Keep at it, maybe you'll be able to fill Richard's shoes someday!

Speaking of, I've been meaning to ask this to all of you...
If there was any one of Richard's Muppets that you would want to take over as a job, which one would it be?

Honestly, for me it would be Gladys. I can (somewhat) match her voice, and it's lilting voice range.

Hmmm... That's a toughie. Janice because I can kind of match her speech? Placido Flamingo? Like I said, a tough question fer sure, like rully.

BTW: Sara, if you could... What/who is Tina? Could you please post something introducing us to her, descript, that sort of thing?
And I'll probably drop you a PM later in the evening or tomorrow for a song favor I'd like to ask.
Keep in touch, and hope you can replace that clipboard. Guess you'll have to take Scooter with you into town to find a new one.

Hi all! I don't normally post in here but I think I'll start. I have always enjoyed RH's characters and I think I have developed more appreciation for them now than ever. Not sure why. All his characters on Sesame Street were all C or B list characters but they were always memorable and made me laugh.
To answer the question of who I would take over, I would say Scooter, or Gladys the Cow.

Which one would I take over...I'd say Scooter or Janice; the former 'cause he's my favorite, the latter 'cause my voice can easily match hers.

Tina is a homemade humanoid puppet. She has teal skin, black hair (which is a cropped human adult size "Elvira-type" wig.) She used to have blue ostrich feathers, like fraggles, but those molted after 2 years, and we had to strip her head clean, as it was causing us to inhale them! She still has a hot glue circular patch with a few blue feathers stuck to it, when you remove her current black wig.

For muppet-style...I'd have to say she closely resembles Scooter, perhaps? She is as professional as I can figure, with an exception, she dosn't have proper muppet eyes. Her eyes are two large "googly eyes" like the kind you get at a craft store.

We've still got her pattern, (only my mother knows where it is however...) I could re-build her with new eyes.

I'd like to take over Janice, cause she's got all those catch phrases. Plus, she's a girl playing lead guitar in a band, not something you see everyday! And Don Music, we both tend to overreact to things! lol

Oh I forgot, the other day I was at The Museum of TV and Radio and view this Muppet event The Museum did in 1992, the speakers were Jerry, Frank, Jane Henson, Jon Stone, and Michael Firth. It was very interesting, but a couple of highlights were:

Jerry brought on Floyd and explained his origins. The audience really liked that! Michael Firth explained, "Floyd's eyes used to be lenticular, which just means they turned into spirals when he looked into the camera lens. They don't do that anymore, but it's alright, it just means he stopped taking whatever he was taking!" Lol, I always think Floyd is so adorable, even though he's got the whole beatnik, hangover image!

Frank also discussed Piggy's origins (which the audience REALLY enjoyed!), mentioning that Richard used to perform her. He went on to explain who Richard was, that he'd passed away fairly recently and he was "beloved by all of us."

I would have to definately go with Don Music here. I sound nothing like him, but he's always been my favorite Richard character and my husband says I do have this tendancy to overreact to things just a hair.
