Yet another fellow MCer whom I've been really good friends with for years has suddenly unfriended and blocked me on Facebook for no reason. I really don't understand this; I really don't do, say, or post a whole lot on Facebook compared to most people, so I don't know what it is I'm doing that's warranting once good friends to suddenly sever ties with me like this - especially since Facebook is really the only way I'm able to still connect with people anyway.

Not really the case this time. Things were pretty much the same as always, nothing different, nothing changed.

On that subject though:

It goes back to an old point I made - I wish Facebook would notify you if someone unfriends you instead of having to find out the hard way.

That would be nice - I think DeviantArt actually does that, to an extent.

But Facebook considers that a violation of privacy.

On a somewhat related note, it's easier to find out who has just quit Facebook and deactivated their account altogether when you see a blank profile picture and a dead profile link on your friends list. At least in most cases, those people will post some kind of a formal farewell before they do along the lines of, "I'm leaving. I may come back, but most like I will not." And I've seen my fair share of that too, and it's understandable.

Oh. Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh. Okay. I see how it is.

So that's going against privacy, yet asking us constantly for our phone numbers and then deleting the account afterwards isn't? (That's actually happened to a former friend of mine).
