I never experienced any bullying or toxic sludge on Myspace . . . in fact, I'll be honest, I kinda miss Myspace: at least we had the ability to fully customize the appearance and layout of our profiles.

Oh yes. IIRC, my friends list was mostly other MCers, maybe a few other random people, and comedian Patrice Oneal before he died.

I signed up when I was 16 and in 9th grade in early '09. Basically when the site was dying.

Yeah, I probably had it maybe . . . I'm not sure, 2005 to . . . maybe 2010, or 2011 or so. . . .

IIRC, I think the main reason I got Myspace was because I wanted to fill the void left behind when TV Tome was sold to CNet and became TV.com - I remember I had really customized and personalized my TV Tome profile, and I missed having a profile I could customize, so I got Myspace.

I used to use Myspace, until I found out that the website integrates YT now instead of listening to music via audio like when I was a member.

Myspace had it's share of bullying. But when Facebook was launched Zuckerberg made a proclamation that any inherent problems with MySpace would be a thing of the past.

How did that work out for him?

Sadly, anytime people can log in anywhere and express their views without consequences, or having their true identities revealed, that can create a breeding ground for bullies.
