I’ve only had two brand new cars, that I could say I put all the miles on. Until I graduated college, I had four cars that were family hand-me-downs. They were all at least ten years old, had well over 100,000 miles on them, and have all seen better days. But when you’re 17, all that mattered was it ran. And the radio worked.
The brakes can be shot, but we got tunes!
As I got older, I could afford better cars. Something used, less than 30,000 miles, get an extended warranty, you’re in good shape.
There was one shady dealer who had all these banged up used cars, every car or van one thousand bucks, no questions asked. Run away from crooks like this.
