Am I the only one who honestly kinda prefers stories being told in first person rather than third? I dunno. I feel like it helps you relate and understand the characters more.

You mean like Judy Blume's Fudge books being told by Fudge's older brother Peter? Ehh . . . I don't really have such a preference, but I suppose if written and executed well, I can invest in the story if told from such a perspective.

you know i gotta agree. I always found myself more interested in first person stories over third. Definitely gives it a more personal feel

Whenever I write fanfics (which is really rare) I prefer writing them in first person.

But I do roleplay and roleplaying in first person just seems icky to me

You just raise an eyebrow sometimes when someone talks to you in third person. Like the Seinfeld episode where "Jimmy definitely likes Elaine!!"
If I came up to you and said "Fuzzygobo thinks little Jerry92 is a little salty around the edges, like a perfect Margarita!", you might shy away from that.
One notable member on here a few years back was Birdon the Bird. The schtick was "Birdon so sad. (Cry cry sniff sniff)". Like clockwork. I don't mind a little role playing, but sometimes I like to talk to people without their masks on. Like you on here.

Nowadays Birdon would probably say "Birdon is triggered by microaggressions. Where is Birdon's safe space? Why are people so mean to Birdon? Why??????!!!!!! It makes Birdon sad (cry cry, sniff sniff)."
That's what makes fuzzygobo shake fuzzygobo's head ruefully.
But you people are honest enough to let the real you shine through. That pleases fuzzygobo. Fuzzygobo happy, smile smile grin grin. 8)

Are you as nauseous as fuzzygobo yet?

Ah, Birdon . . . I remember that guy. Yeah, that was really . . . peculiar, I must admit . . . didn't really get what was going on there, but . . . whatever.

There was one annoying little kid that used to comment on many of my Sesame Street videos "Albert fever sick and coughing again." And I'm just thinking "Yeah, this kid definitely has lousy parents."
