Well, I can't say I'm in the same boat as you all. I've been happily taken by a very beautiful woman for over a year and a half (though we've been best friends for 3). I can be a shoulder to cry on or an ear to listen to you though. I'm sorry, Prawnie, that it didn't work out with that girl, but there will be others and maybe even her later on. Who knows? I think that's just cracky* that she passed you up. You're a great guy and I'm sure anyone would be lucky to have you. Ahh...young love...

*"Cracky" is a word I made up weeks ago by accident meaning "crazy" or "screwy". I allow this word to be included in the Muppet Central lexicon.
Ditto to what Bryan said. I'm not a teenager, I'm a happily married twentysomething, but I'll listen anytime and I'm also sorry it didn't work out for you Prawnie.

I certainly can listen....and share stories...even though I'm taken right now...although love can be a fickle thing!

So uh... Where do I find these "girls" as you put it, tearing down doors to get to... um, a somewhat mild-mannered but a little eccentric fellow?
If you happened to know... For a... friend of mine. Yeah, that's it. A friend of mine.

Here's the "Brian's Crushes" trinity...

*Claire- My first real love, but she dated someone else about a month after we met. His name was Stephen, and he oddly enough became my best friend by the end of our senior year.
*Becca- She was probably the closest I ever came to a real girlfriend. I lived three minutes away from where she worked, so naturally I visited her every single night all through my junior year.
*Casey- Now, on the physical aspect, I reached my zenith with Casey. I danced my first slow dance with her, not to mention our fairly gratuitous make-out session in the hot tub.:flirt:

It's always interesting to hear the relationship woes of the youth of today.
I myself never had a date or a girlfriend til I was 26...unfortunately it didn't last more than a few months due to long distance issues, and I 've been single for the last 2 years or so.

However fear not! For the people who have had bad luck getting a girl or guy,
life has away of balancing things out. Like people on here who might not be able to get a boyfriend or girlfriend, life might make up for it by having good academic, creative/art, musical, writing, etc skills. Or some sort of other karmic skills.

I myself have learned not to fret, despite this tiem of the year as with alot of people making ya wish ya had someone. I myself believe my cute nerdy wife is out there somewhere, so I have hope for ye all!

Ok, well it appears I'm a little late a joining this club, but who cares?
The first (and only) guy I've ever gone on a date with totally mimics what prawnie originally said in his example. He was two hours late picking me up, but I went with him anyway, and I didn't go on another with him.

Now, I've got my eye on a guy who happens to be 6 years older than me, but I've known him my entire life, and recently found out that we have a WHOLE lot in common! He's really cute, and I don't think he's ever had much in the ways of a girlfriend, so I'm crossing my fingers!

So, cluddies, how are we? Me? Not so good. Still lovesick, and still sick of it all.
