(I'm disappointed. I googled bat demons and didn't get any real results. But maybe thats a good thing :stick_out_tongue:)

A hidden settlement? Really? XD I would think I would get some kind of vision or clue that one exists somewhere.

it is awfully strange that we would end up meeting each other, and then end up on the site of a shrine built to worship a bunch of gods that happen to have similar powers as us.

Man...be glad you aren't a shapeshifter. The first transforming was one excruciatingly painful experience...not to mention slow. Even after that it was painful...mainly my wings coming out. Now it happens in a few seconds and the only feeling I have is a bit of a numbness, but it took a long time for it to stop being painful. And then there was that awkward moment when I woke up male one day. Fun fact...I actually can change my human appearance, but it is extremely hard to do it. I've only managed it twice

(and I'm currently drawing your ultimate Heartless form but the Behemoth body is giving me trouble XD)

Well, everything can be possible. I mean, I believe that a skeleton hands out presents at Christmas

*nod while playing with the hem of my dress*
Almost like destiny...

*stop laying, lay down on the floor with my hands behind my head, looking at the ceiling*
I can imagine it's awkward waking up as the opposite gender. Actually this whole gender changing thing puzzles me but at the same time I'd rather not know...

But how painful is shapeshifting? Worse than being exposed to torture?

I'd like to know how I'm able to shapeshift clothes. But hey...I guess we need to be thankful for that one :stick_out_tongue: Technically, as a demon, I am genderless. You could think of the male and female aspect as just two different forms rather than...you know...an actual gender. As for deciding what pronoun to use...I don't care anymore. I use pronouns interchangeably. If its easier, seeing as how I am almost always male in human form, you can just use male pronouns.

(If you want the real explanation...its a combination of two things. For the longest time, the entire forum was convinced I was a guy. I guess cause I don't really act like a girl. and more recently, I made a joke post in some thread about being a male video game character and D'Snowth asked me why I didn't say anything about my "sex change operation" XD)

*giggle*
Yeah, would be awkward if it didn't happen. Imagine you wearing a tight, extremely short dress and then shapeshifting into a male... I just scared myself.

*shift postion to lay on my stomach, my head resting on my arms*
You know, with you spending a large amount of time as a male, it's kind of hard to imagine you as a female.

(I think I saw D'Snowth's question about your "sex change operation".
And the body of your ultimate Heartless is still being s painful as Sephiroth's Heartless Angel attack.
And now I'm going to watch Ice Age 3 with audio commentary)

As for your question about shapeshifting. Think of it this way. Your entire skeletal structure is grinding, stretching, shrinking and reshaping into a new form adding bones you didn't have before. Its like all the bones in your body are breaking at once. And then if you have something sharp forming like claws, its literally the claw forcing its way through your skin.

For some shapeshifters its more of a "spiritual" thing...like a pokemon evolving. White light everywhere, no feeling of their body changing. Not me though. Its all physical.

But like I said, its something that you get used to and it stops being painful over time. Your body learns to cope with it. Growing fur is still itchy though.

I might as well ask, I've been curious...if you can gender change, does that basically rule out a possibility of dating/getting married? I mean, I think it would be awful awkward for the person on the other end...

I am now officially glad that I can't shapeshift after hearing how painful it is.

I think I just figured out why bat demons are so rare. :stick_out_tongue:

But really, think about it. If we can't breed, how are more created? The only logical explanation is that the powers are passed down spiritually...
