Well thankfully, in a democracy we don't all have to.Most people seem to be really happy about this but I don't know. It's probably just me but I don't think I'll be celebrating. But I don't think I would of been celebrating either way.
(As long as we're civil to all.)Well, you're an Australian, in Australia, so I guess you really wouldn't be celebrating all that much anyway. Most people seem to be really happy about this but I don't know. I still had to listen to "The Star Spangled Banner" and all of our TV channels did Election coverage for most of the day.I guess it is a small world after all.Well, you're an Australian, in Australia, so I guess you really wouldn't be celebrating all that much anyway.

Iraq and the economy, mostly the economy. It makes me wonder why Obama won when Kerry didn't. Just curious...
Yeah that was probably true for some. At this point now, people are just sick of it all. Still, I know others were just too nervous about Kerry because he didn't take clear stands on issues. He tried so hard to please, he stood for nothing. That wasn't the alternative we needed.4 years ago there was still much support for the Iraq war. People either were of the opinion that we had to see it out no matter what or/and figured it was almost over. Four years and no progress later support has dwindled and most Americans are saying time to pull out.
Oh yeah, of course. But still, it's been splashed all over the place here as if it were our own election, and alot of people are acting as if it were! It's weird really, I mean, did they have much about the Autralian election in America? just wondering.Well, you're an Australian, in Australia, so I guess you really wouldn't be celebrating all that much anyway.
