Very well put. It's really funny because many people find me strange because I much prefered TMS over SS at a young age. I enjoyed both, but I didn't go wacky if I missed an ep of SS, but that was not the case for TMS. It's kind of weird that I became more fascinated with SS as I got older. Some have said that recent seasons aren't that good, but I enjoy that many of the cartoons (what I considered to be the boring parts) have been taken out of the show to put more puppet parts in. :stick_out_tongue:

Don't feel too bad, Sarah. I know the first movie I ever saw was The Great Muppet Caper (also one of my favorite movies, Muppet or non, of all time). Unfortunately, the first Muppet movie I ever saw in the theater was not TGMC. The first one I ever saw in the theater was Muppet Treasure Island. Now, I'm not complaining. I absolutely love MTI! I kinda wish it had been one of the original 3 though.

I didn't get to see Muppets From Space in the theater, though I REALLY wanted to. My dad thought I was at that point where I should start growing up. LOOK AT ME NOW!!! :stick_out_tongue: :stick_out_tongue: :stick_out_tongue:

That's the same with me. While I didn't have complete episodes of TMS when I was younger, I did have a few of those Muppet compilation tapes that came out in 1985. I would have much rather watch them than Sesame Street. Now is when I've gotten into SS more. Don't get me wrong, I used to watch SS all the time when I was younger (probably more than now). Even though I watched it more then, I appreciate, and like it a whole lot more now. Don't ask me to explain further. :smirk:

I always liked the moral lessons of Sesame Street, but didn't like the parts where cartoons were trying to teach me stuff. I could see that coming from a mile away and would leave for those parts. LOL! Although, sometimes those parts would last forever. I think that's the major part that weaned me off SS as a kid. I think it would have been different it it had been 100% puppets. I'm so glad they're getting more screentime. Even though I'm not Elmo's biggest fan, I think it's cool how they are incorporating cartoons with puppets in Elmo's World.

I never liked the cartoon segments either. I always looked forward to the Ernie and Bert segments, cuz, this was around the time when Baby Bear and Telly started getting bigger (around '91-'93). I like Telly, but, I personally find Baby Bear to be the annoying one rather than Elmo!

Yeah, I know. I really like that too. I was wondering if they had gotten the idea from Caroll Spinney. Or if ti was just a rip-off fro Blue's Clues! j/k

"La la la la, la la la la. Elmo's World! Ha ha ha ha! Elmo loves his gold fish! His crayons, too! That's Elmo's World! Hello! Elmo is so happy to see you! And so is Dorothy! Say "Hello", Dorothy! .... HA ha ha ha ha!"

:embarrassed:  :embarrassed:

Vodka is my drink of choice. But, as you know, I don't drink these days. I like my edge.

BTW, does anyone find it odd that Elmo named his fish Dorothy? Nevermind. :embarrassed: No flames please, it's a bad joke.
