Has anybody heard about a third computer animated Ghostbusters

Is Dan Aykroyd writing it?

Last I heard, Aykroyd had a script for a third live-action Ghostbusters film. Harold Ramis and Ernie Hudson were interested, but Bill Murray was the only hold out. I think Aykroyd was trying to get Murray for at least a cameo.

All I'm saying is at this point they might as well make a Real ghostbusters animated movie and bring back Maurice LaMarche, Frank Welker, Dave Coulier (as we all know, Lorenzo Music passed on years ago) and Arsinio Hall (what's he doing lately?). Maybe Roger Bumpass and kath Sorcie as their respective roles too.

I find it hillarious Bill murray thinks he's too good for one of his best roles. and he did the voice of Garfield in those two horrible movies.

I was thinking that myself. What was the last true, goofy comedy Bill Murray was in? Was it The Man Who Knew Too Little (1997)? He's been doing a lot of "arty" films since then, such as Hamlet (the ultra-modern one with Ethan Hawke; Murray was Polonius), Lost in Translation, The Life Aquatic, Broken Flowers, The Royal Tenenbaums, Coffee and Cigarettes, etc. Some of these are good, and show a different side of Murray, but I'm sure a lot of his fans (myself included) would love to see him do another Caddyshack or What About Bob or yes, another Ghostbusters. I believe he was reluctant to do Ghostbusters II as well. And of course he didn't do the sequel to Charlie's Angels. But love 'em or hate 'em, he did do two Garfield movies...

You know, that's a really good point. With Bill's recent movies that I've seen, I've been feeling like there's something missing, but haven't been able to put my finger on it. And while his recent movies haven't been bad or anything, it's really true... I would love to see him in another full-out, completely comedic role again! Of course, actors' feelings and outlooks sometimes change as they get older and they want to go in a different direction. But it would be amazing to see Bill in another comedy like those. I'll bet it would be a huge hit, too.

Well, as I say, he wasn't too keen on doing Ghostbusters II, and he hasn't really done a mainstream all-out comedy in about ten years, so...who knows? He's going to be in the new Get Smart movie.

Really? That's so cool! He's my second favorite SNL cast member, right after the fellow in my avvy!

Murray's playing a character known as Agent 13 in Get Smart. I don't know if its a main role or a cameo.

Aren't Bill and his brothers opening up a golf-themed restaurant somewhere?

Sounds like he's been hanging out with Steve Martin too long. I love ol Stevey and Bill. They are among the greatest people that ever graced SNL. I can respect they took an artistic edge, but then again, they do every so often choose terrible roles in terrible films. Look at BOTh Cheaper by the Dozens. I will say, if you miss the old Steve Martin, rent Looney Tunes back in Action, and you shant be disappointed.

BTW, I came back from seeing Mr. Bean's Holiday yesterday and I loved it. Not as Americanized as the first one. While Bean doesn't work as well in full 2 hour incriments as he does on TV, I was rolling around in the isles. I think they recycled the French restaruant scene a might from the "Steak Tartar" skit, but other than that, truely inspired stupidity. It does a heart good to know SOME British comedians go back to their comic roots... Hugh Laurie....

I gotta check out "Mr. Bean's Holiday." I saw the preview for it when I saw "The Simpsons Movie." Looks like prime hilarity.
