Oh. Well I love a movie where you're able to connect with and relate to the characters in it.

The one where Alvin eats Simon's feces or whatever? Classy. . .and funny. . .:frown: I would, literally, rather watch paint dry. I believe that that's the first time that I've ever said that and sincerely meant it.

Okay I guess I didnt really pay attention to what was happening in the preview but I loved the way the chipmunks looked and I also loved that they had the same late 80s early 90s voices

I'm not the target audience for that kind of thing, nor am I an expert for what passes for humor nowadays (I laugh at Monty Python and unpopular, canceled shows like Arrested Development) so I guess that I really shouldn't criticize. But I don't know. . .I wouldn't let a kid see a movie with a trailer like that, and I would let a kid watch Aliens (in other words, I'm not saying that I would be a very good parent)! The voices seem fine, and Jason Lee as Dave (I guess that's his name) seems to work, so, I'm guessing that those who liked the Garfield movie might like this one. To paraphrase another thread, sub-"meh"

I don't think Jason Lee make a good Dave Seville. But that it my opinion.
