I'm waiting until mid-week. I actually thought I wouldn't like the first Matrix, but was blown away. This one doesn't seem to impress me either so I hope it will have the same result. We'll see. It's a definite must-see for me, but so is the Hulk. LOL!

I'm not, just because I havn't seen the first. And don't know why I'd want to see a second.

Do you know they are making a sequel to First Knihgt? It's called Second Knight. Only kidding.

And they arn't really making a sequel to first knight.

i heard that halle berry only want to play storm in the next movie if they give her more money since she says shes an academy award winning actress..figures.. so i don't know if she'll be back for the 3rd
Actually, what Halle Berry stated was that she would be more than willing to return for the third movie as "Storm" if they "would beef up (her) part." She has said that she enjoys the movies and the part of Storm, but that she would like Storm to have a bigger part in the storyline.

Considering all the people who are in the storylines, and how they have pretty much focused on Wolverine's character for both movies (along with Rogue's character), I can see where she might want a "larger" part, but since this is about a GROUP of heroes, she is going to have to understand that they can't really give one person specifically more screen time unless the storyline calls for it.

Well, maybe because she has the power of the Oscar behind her now she might be able to dictate that for a third Xmen movie, but I don't know for sure. Since I don't know Ms Berry personally, I can't say what she is like in person, but I also can't say that, from what I have seen of her in interviews and such, she would be someone who would really demand that she get more screen time than others if the storyline didn't dictate it that way.

I just think she'd like her part to be a little more than "Storm glares at the sky/roof/above her and makes a storm appear" in her acting scenes on the next Xmen. Being an actor, she wants to act...just a little more than in these last two movies. Can't fault her for that one...can we?

For those who like 007, has anyone heard anything about when they are making number 21?

And do you think that they are still going to go ahead with the idea of making a film of Wai Lin from Tommorow Never Dies? I know they planned on making one of these, but don't know how far it got in developement.

I believe it made more in the first weekend then (sadly) Star Trek: Nemesis made in it's whole run.

That's just sad/sick/weird...

the matrix is something new and fresh and people want to see it. but star trek has been around for over 35 years so people aren't interested in it anymore....

to wolfy:
actually i don't think the 3rd x-men will give halle berry a bigger part because it's all going to be about jean grey coming back to life so famke jansen will probably be the star of the movie. hopefully cyclops gets a bigger part. i like wolverine, and i think he's a great character, but they need to shift the stories to some of the other characters.....

I didn't see Crouching Tiger/ Hidden Dragon get a sequel.

I understand why it would make more money than a Star Trek movie. But, I really don't think the fact that it's 35 years old is the reson it's done so poorly. Did you notice how much publicity the movie got? How many commercials were on TV? And when Patrick Stewart was on Regis trying to promote the film, did they ever get around to actually talking about the movie? Nope. In fact, when Scott Bakula was on to promote Enterprise, he had to spend the whole interview trying to convince Regis that Archer came before Kirk, before Picard, before all of them. Regis kept saying "So, you're before Kirk, but after Picard, right?"

The funniest thing about that interview was when Regis asked "So, who exactly are you after?" and Scott Bakula replied, "The Suliban."

And now, I'm way off track, aren't I? I now return you to our regularly scheduled film debates...
