I'm really sorry to hear about your father. I know that this is a really sad and hard time for you. All I can tell you is that if you keep praying, our Heavenly Father God can heal your sadness in time. And I'll pray for you and your family as well.

In the Name of Jesus, Amen!

Thank you everyone

Today has been a tough day needless to say. I've been crying a lot (no shame in that, I guess*shrug*) Flowers & food have been delivered to us .So I feel blessed in having friends & family that care. Both Offline & Online .
And for those that asked, I DO accept hugs ((((Everyone))))

(((((((((Kathy))))))))) No shame in crying at all. I cried a lot at the funerals of my grandmothers and my uncle. And the shortest verse of the Bible (John 11:35) says, "Jesus wept" (at the death of his friend Lazarus).
Yes family and friends are such a blessing. Glad you have them in abundance both on and offline.

Oh Kathy I'm really really sorry.

I've lost all my grandparents- But I know that it's not the same at all. Still I have tried sitting next to a person, holding the person's hand and just waiting for the fact that you don't want to face. My grandfather who passed away this Christmas had cancer, and had been ill for quite sometime. But it was within a month or so it really started to grow serious. And in the end, he couldn't do anything but lying in his bed and perhaps trying really hard to drink a little water or so. I remember sitting next to him, crying a little, whispering how much he meant to me (He meant a lot!) and then finally hugging him and kissing his forehead. Then saying goodbye. But, I kinda said goodbye 7 times or so before it was the real goodbye. Or should I say the real "See you"? Cos I believe I will see my grandfather again, just like I believe you will see your father again. In fact when my grandmother was dying (and had been in coma for 5 days and the doctors had said there was no way she would be conscious again) she suddenly opened her mouth saying these words to my dad: "We will meet again, Torben (My dad), we will." and then she passed away. I know it sounds unreal but it's true. And therefore I really believe I will meet her and my grandfather among others in heaven.

I can only imagine how hard it must be for you. I'm praying that God will give you strenght and be with you (Though I already know he is!)

Lots of thoughts and hugs from Denmark ~ Vibs.

(((GIANT HUGS)))

One important thing to remember: Don't rush things, take your time and grieve.. that's the only advice I can give you. I am sorry your having a rough time, but just remember that he is with you.

Everyone is being so sweet but keep in mind, she doesn't need advice, just love and kindness from her friends. Sorry. Its just that people seem to think they have to give "advice" Its just funny.

No Bear...it's OK. The advice helps a bit.
Vibs...what you said sounds a lot like me regarding saying "I love you" over & over again.Every time before I left the hospital, I'd say "Goodbye Daddy....I love you." (yerah I know it's a bit silly for a 36 year old woman to still be calling her father "Daddy",but I still did.)
You all are helping a lot. So I'm going to go out on a limb here. IF you want to send Email flowers or a card,my Email address is Kcat291@aol.com
