Oh, I really hope I get to go this year because New York is closer to Chicago than California is. Although I don't know because of that whole factor of school. But yeah, it's not going to be perfect for everyone because there's way too many of us. I hope to get over there though, if not this time than definatly next time.

I don't care what month it's in! I'll be there, I'll miss classes if i have to. There may never be a Muppetfest again, so i'm gonna make sure i'm there! LOL, i was so mad that I missed the last one, I can't make the same mistake twice!

It would be pretty interesting to see how a Muppet product line comes together. If Creation/Henson doesn't want to look like they are playing favorites and giving free advertising to one company (though, honestly, what other company has put out this kind of high quality Muppet stuff in this kind of quantity?) they could invite a few others to participate in the panel. Perhaps the WETA/Sideshow Busts could be represented. Don't know if we could get anyone from Igel or Nanco, but maybe.

Each company could do a 5-10 minute presentation followed by Q&A for the group.

Would definitely be different from last time. The downside is there would be no puppeteers on stage for that period. :stick_out_tongue:

Hey Annika

I love your idea - very cool. Yeah a whole panel on Muppet Merchandising rather than just Palisades - that would get round the whole advertising thing.

In addition someone from Rhino could be there to say how they chose songs for the new CD and talk about future plans, someone from whoever is making the Bobbleheads to talk about that process, someone from JHC licensing to talk about how they approve or dissaprove products.

To get around the whole no puppets thing - the whole panel could be chaired by someone like Gonzo or Pepe. This would make it fun, interactive, educational - and people complained that last years 'break' was when the Creature Shop guy did his presentation - this would be tons better !

Oh my, now that is definately out of the box thinking...a merchandising panel(on whats coming out later in 2003) moderated by Pepe and Gonzo...does anyone from JHC come on here? This is brillaint!

Also, I seriously think it would be extrordinary to finally be able to meet and greet the Muppets themselves. Maybe only like the gold member special people?(ie: all of us on mc, heh)

Last year only Sweetums came out for photo ops, but to be able to get your picture taken with Pepe...that would be too cool!

Speaking of which, that my friend was ALSO an idea generated from Muppet Central.
