I'm thinking the Vinylmation Gonzo will have a prosthetic nose.
I think I would have liked that better than the painted-on nose seen on today's blog...

But the little Camilla is pretty cute.

A Waldo figure? Wow, seriously never thought I'd see the day. What is that, like the first ever JHH character merch?
There was a Waldo sculpted into the back side of the Muppet*Vision 3-D figural bank...

And I imagine they like them because they're a series of a collectible too... though quite honestly, I don't care who's on it... It doesn't scream aesthetically pleasant to me.

I dunno about Frogboy, but I'd give all the Muppet ones an A ++ for NOT looking like that.
Ha! I still don't think they're trying hard enough, but I'm picky about this stuff.

The Camilla is adorable! The Sam's pretty cool too. The Animal, Gonzo and Kermit just aren't shining examples of anything. Placing the Kermit eyes on the Mickey ears is the selling point of that character in urban vinyl! They've forgotten that! Animal's ears should be filled with wild hair and not on-the-nose music cliches. The Gonzo is just disappointing. Prosthetic nose was the way to go. If not, then his head design should be slightly turned in order to see the shape of his nose wrap around part of the figure. And his wispy hairs should be seen on his Mickey ears. Sigh. What I would have done with these suckers.

But in the end, it's cool that this stuff is out here even though I see mediocrity in the application of Muppet stock art on the Mickey form.

In my opinion, these Vinylmations look very good! Although, I'd have to agree with frogboy, Animal could improve and Gonzo could have been better. The Pigs in Space Vinylmations and the Electric Mayhem ones almost seem like the best ones in my opinion.

I'm probably going to buy them mostly because of the awesome semi-obscure characters portrayed here! I mean, Waldo! I can't believe they make a Vinylmation out of Waldo!:eek:

But, like frogboy said, some do need improvement.

I agree w/ you guys; the 9" Animal and Gonzo aren't the best. But, they are good enough that people will buy them after them come out of Muppet Vision 3D. And although Gonzo's nose and Animal's furriness around the mouth and eyes could be better, they really do capture the key parts of the characters (the Camilla one looks good!).

Of the 9" figures, Sam is definitely the winner...looks really good, and the coloring is spot on. Although, I think the flag ears are a fitting tribute, I could easily do without them.

You do have some valid points, but I don't think we should be too harsh here. After all, things could be worse... They never could've made these figures at all. :sympathy:

The Muppets do need all the support they can get, especially with the new movie coming out.

Throw all the rotten vegetables and boomerang fish you want at me, but I'm just trying to help us all look at both sides of the coin. :halo:
