Lisa: <Enters second-floor common room, sees Robin, sneaks up behind him, puts hands over his eyes.> Guess who.
Robin: <spins around> LISA!!!!!!!! <Jumps onto Lisa>
Lisa: OOFT! Goodness. <Hugs Robin> I missed you too!
Robin: You said you'd be back-
Lisa: I know, on Tuesday, but we got home kinda late and then I had so much homework last night and- What on earth are you doing awake at this hour? I thought- let's get you to bed.
Robin: But-
Lisa: I'll read you a story.
Robin: ...Okay!
Lisa: You have fun with Prawnie?
Robin: Yup!
Lisa: Where's Rowlf and Chef?
Robin: I dunno.
Lisa: Helpful. Well, they know their way to the room. Now let's get you to bed.

Kim: Hey, sounds like Sara's doing what you guys did last year for Halloween.
Betty Lou: What was that, Kim?
Kim: Right; you weren't here. For Halloween last year Gillis, Tosh and her Beast dressed up as characters from Wicked. And I guess Sara's dressing up as Elphaba this year, which was who Tosh was.
Gillis: And I was the Wonderful Wizard of Oz. *preens*
Tosh: So, what're we going to do for costumes this year?
Kim: Well, I've kinda-sorta already got an idea for Boober; I just need to figure out some way of getting a hold of one of his scarves.
Boober: If you want to borrow one, just ask. *pulls an extra scarf out of his drawer* ...what are you going to do with it?
Kim: Oh, you'll see...
Boober: ...now I'm scared.
Betty Lou: Tosh and I already know who we're going to be. We just need to get parts of our costumes together.
Kim: Great. Guess that just leaves the two of us, Gillis.
Gillis: Yes, it does. Unfortunately I don't have any ideas.
Kim: I might have a couple of ideas. Think you can trust me?
Gillis: I did last year.

(Catherine sneaks down the hall and tapes a parchment wrapped with black ribbon on the door of room #1. As she sneaks off, the ribbons slips off and the parchment unrolls. It reads:smile:

One little spider spinning out a web
Now’s the time for working while the house has gone to bed!

Two flaming torches sputter by the door
Lighting up the pathway ‘cross the cobblestone floor.

Three little night moths flutter much to close
One false move, my pretty dears, and you’ll have much to lose.

Four pretty black bats flying to and fro
Looking for some tasty bits that they might find below.

Five mewling kitties, one as black as coal
Watch the spider spinning there with lazy eyes that glow

Six gobbling goblins hiding ‘neath the stairs
Eating grapes and olives and a sack of yellow pears.

Seven skulking vampires steal a peak outside
Waiting for the sun to set so they won’t have to hide

Eight floating ghosties, wailing as they should
Someone’s ghostly mother calls, “Bye dear—please be good!”

Nine ghouls a-plotting to spook and haunt and scare
Pick a spot to set up camp behind the topmost stair.

Ten monsters weary from their urge to roam
Sigh and smile and say out loud, “It’s sure good to be home.”

Happy Birthday, Count! Sorry I'm late!

(sitting out in the livingroom area having another late-night chat)
Bry: Well, it seems the craziness has settled down a bit since this morning and yesterday.
Hoots: Not so sure about that. Cookie Monster is still invisible.
Bry: Oh right...I guess the craziness will never totally go away.
Hoots: It's the charm of this place, I guess.
Bry: Yeah. Otherwise it wouldn't be as fun, would it? I wonder what we're gonna do about the invisible Cookie Monster though.
Hoots: Hey, maybe we can turn some of the cookies invisible so he doesn't eat them all!
Bry: (laughing) Good idea, Hoots, but I think it would just make his sniffer go bonkers.
Hoots: Hehehe!
Bry: But the fuzzy little guy can't be invisible forever. I hope he's back to normal soon. I miss those googly eyes.
Hoots: By the way, have you guys thought of any ideas for Halloween?
Bry: You mean costumes? No, we haven't really talked about it yet. Maybe I'll bring it up to the guys tomorrow. We need to allow time to plan. Man, there's a lot I need to do. We should definitely start decorating this place up for Halloween. Maybe I'll even let Ed give me some tips. Heck, I haven't even posted the room layout description yet. It's not much different from last year, just a few additions. For one thing, Big Bird's nest has moved out back so he has his own little area, and Bert and Ernie get their own private room, and Telly and I share a room too. That way we have more personal spaces and then there's the livingroom/kitchen where we all meet. Well, I'll post those details later.
Hoots: Sounds good, my man.
Bry: And of course, your nest isn't at our window anymore.
Hoots: No. My home is really back on Sesame Street for the time being, but I'm a wanderer. I just come by to pay visits every now and then. I like to watch over the place during the night hours. Sit up on the roof or a nice tree and play my mellow tones.
Bry: Also, its nice to have someone to chat with late at night when everyone else is asleep.
Hoots: No problem! I enjoy it.
Bry: I really should be getting in bed now though.
Hoots: I'll play you to dreamland, my friend.
Bry: Thanks. Goodnight, Hoots.
Hoots: By the way, the Dorms were sponsored tonight by the letter O and by the number 15. (plays a soft quiet riff of "Imagination")

You remember what I asked you to do Cookie Monster?
CM: Yes sir... Me remember.
Good, now off with you.

*Invisible Cookie Monster with sheet over him leaves Room #1 and sneaks up to Room #20. All one sees is the moving sheet with a wrapped box, left at the room's doorstep... And a note attached to the box.
Thanks Cath... The poem was a nice touch and the Count liked it very muchly. Here are some pieces of fine devilfood's fudge cake for you and your roomies to share.
Have a good day.

And now to go about my business for the day. Be careful everyone... Today's a date almost as good as Halloween, it's Friday the 13th!

MN, Storyteller and Nora are planning the decorations for Halloween.

Nora: So what are we doing?
MN: Well, in all of the rooms except the breakfast nook, we're doing a literary house of horrors.
Storyteller: Okay...for Tale of Two Cities, we'll put the guillotine and the timbrel carts in the kitchen...
Nora: The bathroom we'll turn into the castle of Dracula...
MN: My room will encompass some of the creepier scenes in the Sherlock Holmes novels, all against a backdrop of London's East End.
Storyteller: And Nora's room...Dr. Jekyll's lab. You can borrow your siblings' chemistry set; it's dangerous enough.
Nora: What are we doing for the nook?
MN: That one needs a bit of sanity; that's where we're putting the corn, gourds and pumpkins.

Red: Hey Wanda, it's a good thing you're not a black cat
Wanda: Why's that?
Red: I'm just reading something on the computer here about Friday the 13th and it says if a black cat walks in front of you on Friday the 13th you'll have bad luck
Wanda: Oh don't believe those things. I have plenty of black cat friends and it's not true, they'll tell you all it's not
Beth: Yeah, I think Wanda's right, but some people can't help being supersticious
Abby: Super what?
Beth: Oh never mind, just be careful today guys, just in case
