Telly: So when does this party start?
Bry: I dunno... I guess we could wait til more friends show up, but the party doesn't really start until the guest of honor arrives.
Telly: When will that be? I'm hungry.
Bry: Here. Have some tortilla chips.
Telly: Mmm little crunchy triangles!

Big Bird: I hope The Count shows up soon.
Telly: Maybe something happened to him...something terrible! (getting more hysterical) Oh no!! NOT ON HIS BIRTHDAY!!!
Bry: Now, Telly, relax. I am sure Ed and The Count will arrive any minute. I hope...

MN: Do mine ears deceive me, or does our friend The Count have a birthday today?
Nora: Your cold must be feeling better, 'cause you can hear properly.
MN: Yeah, my cold's cleared up...just in time for me to go back to work tomorrow. (grumble grumble, mutter mutter)
Storyteller: Oh, well, life goes on. Now, I have prepared a beautiful chocolate cake in the shape of a bat.
Nora: Oooh, looks delish.
MN: Oh, Storyteller, you were breaking your back over that today. I could have helped with the cake.
Storyteller: No you couldn't, because this morning you were still sneezing and wheezing. Now, do you have your presents?
MN: One book of numerical legends and ghost stories, compiled by Drs. Abacus and Sliderule.
Nora: A castle-shaped music box that plays "I'm Looking Through You."
Storyteller: Excellent. Now let's go wait for Ed and The Count. (picks up cake; MN and Nora follow her out with presents in hand)

Bry: Hi, Erin. Good to see you, Nora and Storyteller. Oh i see we have another cake.
Big Bird: Can't have too many cakes for a birthday.
Bry: You've been hanging around Cookie Monster a lot, haven't you. Well, Erin, why don't you just put that cake over by the other one on the table. It looks cute.
Telly: Bryan, we forgot the presents.
Bry: Oh, we left them in the room. Let's go get them.

Gillis: I don't believe it; we're actually going to be on time for once.
Kim: Very funny, Maestro, very funny. Have we got the gift?
Betty Lou: I've got it, Kim, right here! A jack o'lantern-shaped windchime with five bats hanging from it.
Kim: Sounds like we're all set, then.
Betty Lou: Can I go on ahead, Kim? Please?
Kim: Sure; save some cake for us if they've started eating it already.
Betty Lou: Great, thanks! *runs ahead*
Gillis: (as soon as Betty Lou's out of earshot) Speaking of birthday presents, how's Betty Lou's coming?
Kim: So far, so good. The arrangements are just about finished; they just need some fine-tuning.
Tosh: This is going to be great! Betty Lou's going to love it!
Kim: I know. Now remember, not a word about this to anybody. We don't want someone accidentally spilling the beans to Betty Lou.
Boober: What do spilled beans have to do with anything? Do you know how difficult it is to clean them up? Especially if they're really small beans; you can't pick those up with your fingers. And they scatter with a broom and a dustpan so easily...
Kim: Boober...drop it.
Boober: ...okay.
