Muppet College Dorms: The Next Semester

OOC: Sorry Kell, had to leave in a hurry for class. I don't usually run out with no warning like that...

Gobo: *finding note and reading it* Well, guess they left.
Me: Well, it was fun while it lasted... I was sorry to run out on them like that, but what with traffic and all, it's a good thing I left when I did!
Wembley: Yeah, I guess so.
Gobo: That Spike seemed like a pretty nice guy after all!
Wembley: Yeah, it was sure nice of him to paint Cotterpin's scooter like that! Boy, did it look great! Huh, I wonder how it braking could have been Kelly's fault?
Gobo: I don't know. She doesn't seem like the type of person who would do that type of thing on purpose.
I'm sure she didn't; Cotterpin probably just made a mistake. Well, in any case, I'm going to leave a note on Kelly's door, explaining what happened. I do feel kinda bad about. *Walks across the hall, and leaves an appology note*

Spike, Kelly, and Cotterpin (on the sofa in the common room): ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ ...

Spike (wakes up first, sees everyone draped all over him, shoves them off): Can't believe I had ta watch dat drivel last night....

Kelly (whump, rubbing her head now she's awake): You coulda gone to bed....

Cotterpin (yawn): They had a really neat discussion about time, though. It was very fascinating. I learned a lot.

Kelly (smiles): That was hilarious....

*Spike, Kelly, and Cotterpin return to room 2*

Spike (sees a note): Hmm ... *turns to Kelly* ... looks like it's from dat Kate chick. She goes ta school too ... at night ... *shakes head* ... aren't you two just the little overachievers?

Kelly (grabs note from him, reads): Oh, well ... I can relate. Traffic problems are the worst.

Cotterpin: We need to see them again.

Kelly (nods, to Cotterpin): I don't know what her schedule is, though. I'm usually in bed by 9. I've got clinicals on Tuesdays, and that lasts awhile. *shrugs* Oh well ... I'll work something out. Hey, why don't you go drive back into Fraggle Rock? You can probably catch Gobo and Wembley THERE.

Cotterpin (sheepishly): Oh .... yeah....

Spike (to Kelly): So, what's on your agenda today?

Kelly (shrugs): I need to go around and check on some things. I've kind of had Chamberlain on my mind recently.

Cotterpin: EEEEEEWWWWW ... you know, you're right ... I think I WILL go see what's happening in the Rock. Yuck. *drives into the room and into the tunnel*

Spike (disgusted as well): What da heck do you even SEE in dat lil' whiner?

Kelly (smirks): Probably whatever makes me attracted to YOU. *giggles*

Spike (taken aback): Um ...

*pokes head out at hearing voices in the hall* Hi Kelly. Oh good, you got the note. I've only got school three nights a week, on Tuesdays, Wednsdays and Thursdays. I usually leave at around 6. Tuesday's my early night, and I'm back around 7:30, 8. The other nights it's anywhere between 9 and 10. Yeah, it'd be fun to all get together again! Maybe the 6 of us could go out to Everybody Eats sometime. Don't know if you've ever been there, but it's a place that's known for serving food to suit any type of creature, so anyone can find food to their liking.
*grins* Oh, and Spike, I'm far from being an over-achiever; I'm more or less a B student or there abouts.

Spike (grins at Kate): Oh, 'ey. *nods in Kelly's direction* Ya doin' bettah dan Kel, here ... she's been barely scrapin' --

Kelly: AHEM! Anyway, cool! Doin' anything FRIDAY? I kinda need to talk to Chamberlain tonight ... if he's around.

Spike (sticks his tongue out): Buzzard Beak's like athlete's foot ... always around SOMEWHERE. *cackles* Make sure ya bring some gloves or somethin', toots. *grins*

Kelly (rolls eyes, to Kate): Anyway ... I've never been to Everybody Eats. I'm sure we'd *glares at Spike* ALL be glad to come!

Spike (strokes chin): Well, I HAVE been missin' Mrs. S' mammoth surprise ... I could stand ta see what's on de menu....

Friday? Well, I'm going out to lunch with my aunt and cousin for my birthday on Sunday, but otherwise nothing. Maybe we could get together for dinner?

Kelly (nods): Yeah, that was what I was thinking as well. Dinner sounds good. How about, um ...

Spike: 8:00?
Kelly: 7:30?

Spike: 9:15?
Kelly: 6:45?

Kelly: Wait, wait ... let us not forget the teensy-weensy problem of time zones. Whatever time WE pick would be an hour early for HER.

Spike (frowns): Who came up wit' DAT nonsense?

Kelly: So, Kate, whatever time you pick ... we'll assume you mean "Eastern" time. You pick though ... we're not very picky.

Spike: Jus' hungry.

*to Kelly* Oh good, since timezones confuse me. How about 6:30 then?

Kelly: That would 5:30 for us, then. *elbows Spike* Remind me, Spike, will ya?

Spike (grumbling): Still stupid dat da clocks on DIS side o' da hall don't match up ta da clocks on DAT side o' da hall.... *rubs abdomen* Your wish is my COMMAND, toots. Wouldn't DARE miss one o' da few times we're goin' out ... wit' someone else ... you're not tryin' ta hit on....

*laughing* 'Tis one of life's many mysteries, Spike. And I feel the same way, about not goetting out enough with my friends, that is.

Well, time fer me to head off to class. See you later! *gets books from room and walks off*

Kelly (watches Kate leave): Bye!

Spike: I'm gonna take a nap, toots. Ain't ya goin' somewhere wit' your mudder soon?

Kelly (nods): Yeah. But I need to get in the room first. *muscles past Spike* I wonder what I can get Chamberlain for a present. I feel kinda guilty about that whole fiasco at the picnic.

Spike (shakes head): Deodorant?

Kelly (sighs): Look -- mock him all you want -- but Chamberlain's not nearly as mega-creepy as that scientist Skeksis or as mean as that garthim-trainer one. He's smart and is probably the most idealistic of all the Skekses.

Spike: You're hallucinatin', toots. Ain't dat much dere but what's in your head.

Kelly: You know, it may not have come to your attention, but several people I've come across seem to see YOU as one-dimensional too.

Spike (frowning): Dis ain't Beauty an' Da Beast, toots. Don't make me gag.

Kelly: Stop acting like a jealous toddler, Spike. *notes she has a sword* Hmmm ... I could give him this. I wonder if he likes big swords.

Spike (rolls eyes): I t'ink dis is gettin' dangerously close ta bad innuendos....

Kelly: Grow up. *grabs sword* I'm gonna go drop this off and apologize. *goes upstairs, knocks on Ailie's door* Hey, is Chamberlain ... *sniff sniff* ... why do I smell pie?
