Ernie: Hey, Bryan! Haven't seen you around much.
Bryan: Yeah, Ernie. It's been a busy busy week. That play I was in just closed over the weekend and I've been working this week and trying to catch up on sleep. Then I am starting a new production soon that I have to get ready for. Sorry if I haven't been around to play much, guys.
Ernie: It's okay.
Bert: Yeah, we understand.
Bryan: Man, I'm so tired.
Big Bird: (overhearing) Uh oh. Did you hear that, Snuffy?
Snuffy: What, Bird?
Big Bird: Bryan's tired. I hope he isn't getting what Scooter got.
Bryan: What are you talking about?
Big Bird: Scooter is really sick.
Snuffy: Something called the "toast flu".
Bryan: The toast flu?
Cookie: Cinnamon toast?
Bryan: I'm not sick, and besides, I think I'm immune to the toast flu...whatever it is.
Ernie: Well I sure hope Scooter gets better soon. Hey, why don't we send him something to lift his spirits?
Bert: That's a terrific idea, Ernie!
Snuffy: I've got this basket we can put stuff in.
Bryan: Great, Snuffy!
Big Bird: Here's some coloring books and crayons. (puts them in the basket)
Ernie: And I can give him this old yo-yo here. (puts the yo-yo in the basket)
Bert: And here's some great books for him to read! (puts them in the basket with Ernie making a face at how boring Bert's books are)
Bryan: And I'll put in a few DVD's and a carton of ice cream.
Cookie: Whoa whoa whoa!
Bryan: What?
Cookie: You can't give away that! It me favorite.
Bryan: Relax. I'll buy you more cookies & cream ice cream, but right now Scooter needs it.
Cookie: Okay, you right. Scooter's me friend. It more important he feel better.
Bryan: Thank you. (pats Cookie on the head)
Snuffy: Oh, dear...
Big Bird: What's wrong, Snuff?
Snuffy: I don't know what to give Scooter.
Big Bird: Oh...
Bryan: Snuffy, we're putting all this stuff in your basket, remember?
Snuffy: Oh yeah! Bryan, you're a smart guy.
Bryan: Well, thank you. Okay, I think he'll appreciate this. Let's send this stuff over to Scooter!
Big Bird: Yaaay!
(Bryan, Bert, Ernie and Cookie Monster take the basket of gifts to Erin's. Big Bird stays back with Snuffy, who can't really fit to go inside)

(in room 7, Scooter is slowly eating a bowl of radish stew on the sofa - the others are at the table having bowls of the same stew, with fresh bread to go with it)

Storyteller: I'll have to give Boober my recipe for rockweed bisque, with rosemary and tarragon, and...
(knock at the door)
Erin: (chuckling) Nora, your turn.
Nora: Okay. (opens door) Hi, everyone. (turns) It's Bryan, Ernie, Bert and Cookie Monster. (to Bryan and co.) Come on in, we're just finishing dinner.
Erin: Thanks so much, you guys - I mean, everything that you and the others have done is really helping Scooter. (looks in basket) One pint of cookies and cream ice cream...better get this into the freezer.
Beige: (putting ice cream into freezer) Good timing - we were kind of running out of ice cream.
Erin: And...oh, Cookie Monster, that was your favorite? Don't worry, we'll make it up for you the next time I make cookies.
Storyteller: (looks in basket) Let's see, one yo-yo from Ernie...(hands yo-yo to Scooter, who sits up and attempts to do Around the World with it), a coloring book with a new box of crayons...Bert's books on the history of the paper clip...and some DVDs. Very nice, very nice.
Scooter: Wow...I really don't know how to thank you guys.
Beige: (chuckle) You really want to thank them? Get better soon.
Nora: Scooter, would you like some ice cream now, or do you want to wait a bit?
Scooter: Well, I think I can have a little bit.
(Nora soon returns with a small cup of cookies and cream, with a spoon)
Beige: Can we have some of that?
Erin: Hmm...it's only a pint, so we'd better save it for Scooter. But for the rest of us, there's the cake that Grover brought over; I think we can help Scooter eat that.

Well, it's done...
Count: Vhat is?
Me: The little short story fanfic I was toying with. Posted it as a sort of get-well gift for Scooter.
UD: Did I hear someone mention something about a fanfic?
Me: You did indeed old fiend. Sure hope Erin and her roomies, especially Scooter find it though. Bit nervous as to what her reaction will be. Just have to wait and hear her thoughts.
Uncle Deadly skulks off to read the recent writings.

Ryan: A spanish test tomorrow that I know absolutely NOTHING about.

Herry: Oh boy. Joise and the Pussycats. I love that show. My mommy would always watch it with me on saturday mornings.

Murray: What is Joise and the Pussycats about?

It's a cartoon seires about 6 characters and a cat. It's another Hanna Barbera cartoon show. It's like Scooby Doo but with a cat instead. Fun show.

Murray: I wouldn't mind seeing it myself.

Herry: Can we watch it tonight?

Sure. *hands Herry the DVD* Have fun. I'm going to watch my Robot Chicken.

Herry: This is going to be fun!

Murray: Can't wait!

Both run off into their room

Awww now time to relax.

Oscar: *pops up* Hey there tubby.

Oh it's you Oscar. What do you want?

Oscar: What's that?

It's a show called Robot Chicken. Would you like to watch it?

Oscar: I guess. Any grouches?

Maybe. You might enjoy it. It's pretty funny.

Oscar: Then pop it in.

(Erin is reading a copy of "For Richard or Poorer," and trying to keep from laughing)
Erin: (snicker) I love this, I love this.
Nora: Hey, what's that?
Erin: A little tidbit from Ed and the Count. I think you'll find it interesting.(shows it to her)
Nora: Uh-huh...uh-huh...wait a minute, I actually do that?
(wolf whistles from Beige and Storyteller)
Erin: Oh, come on, Nora, at least it's G-rated.
Scooter: What's G-rated? (sits up, reads through story) Oh...oh, I see.
Beige: You're not too fazed, Scooter.
Scooter: (shrugs) Happens to me a lot in fanfics.
Nora: I can't believe this...
Storyteller: Can't believe what?
Nora: (suddenly looking a little bit coy) That I didn't even get a kiss!
Scooter: I'm still sick with the Toast Flu, remember?
Erin: (still grinning like the proverbial Cheshire Cat) That's all in the story...we'll see what Ed comes up with next.

Huh? What do you mean you didn't get a kiss in the story Nora? Didn't Erin read you the last part? Well, ask her to explain it to you privately, girl-to-girl.
Ed heads back to his room, ushering in Uncle Deadly, going over notes for his own story for October.

Rosita:I hope you don't have that Toast Flu like Scooter does.:concern:
No...humans don't get it.I'm safe.Lately I've been so tired at night but can't sleep.
Rosita:stick_out_tongue:lus you said something about bad dreams the other day, right?
Yeah.
Prairie:Maybe that dream catcher's coming loose. I'll see if I can fix it.
Rosita:And I'll hang up that kachina doll for you.
Sounds fine. Maybe some soft music will help me too.

Erin: Read the fine print, Eleanor Jane.
Nora: (takes story) Uh-huh...oh. (smiles slightly)
Scooter: "For Richard or Poorer..." wonder if Richard's going to drop in at some moment in the story? (looks up) Sounds like Kathy's having trouble sleeping.
Erin: (looks up) Kathy, you might want to try chamomile tea. Storyteller, think you could run a bit of my supply of chamomile over to her?
Storyteller: Will do.
Erin: It works for me - occasionally a little too well. Then again, I've never been a morning person.
