Gonzo: Whoo! This party's gonna be awesome! I can't wait for the fireworks!
Ryan: You're not gonna pull another stunt like you did last year, are you?
Gonzo: Of course I am! What would a Fourth of July party be without it?
Ryan: Safe.
Gonzo: Exactly! How boring is that?

Well.. It won't be boring for a certain prawn I know if more story doesn't get posted, fright Uncle D?
*Moves off to start prepping the bat's claw cole slaw and potato salad.
Hope Kathy drops by, we'd sure love some of her famous devilled eggs. Ryan, you and Bry are on the grill. Count's spicing the burger patties and I hope Clifford doesn't mind brushing the ribs with some of his homemade BBQ sauce. Cookie and the Chef should have dessert ready, heard they were making American apple-walnut pies.

*Listening to MC Radio... *Chops veggies to the tune of Turn The World Around.

Gobo: So Kate, will you be at the party this evening?
*sighing* I don't know. I really want to, and I know I haven't been socializing with the people here much, but I've got another party out of town to go to.
Wembly, *disapointedly* Oh.
But I'll tell you what. I'm sure this party will be going late, and I shouldn't be so late coming back from the other one. So when I get back, if I still hear the sounds of partying, then I'll come.
Wembly: Oh great!
So you just go and have fun, and I'll meet you later, okay?
Gobo: Okay, it's a deal!

Clifford: Hey, hey, Ryguy!
Ryan: Hey Cliff, what's up?
Clifford: Not much, but I've got a little problem with the par-tay tonight.
Ryan: Oh? What's that?
Clifford: My man Ed wants me to rub barbecue sauce on the ribs.
Ryan: *blink* And...?
Clifford: Man, do you know what ribs are made of?
Ryan: Por- Ohhhh.
Clifford: Ya see my problem!
Ryan: Yeah, well... um, why don't you go talk to Ed, I'm sure that maybe we can find tofu ribs... or something.
Clifford: Yeah, well, that's the other problem.
Ryan: How do ya mean?
Clifford: I hate tofu!
Ryan: Sheesh...

MN: I've finished the scones, I've got a pan of brownies in the oven, and I'm prepping a nice big pan of cranberry bars.
Storyteller: There are three salads - garden, pasta and Asian-style - in the fridge, and I am preparing a nice big bowl of radish gazpacho.
Nora: I'll get going on the sandwiches...where are those bagels and croissants we got at the bakery?
MN: In the cabinet, third from the right. And there are some tortillas in there, so you might want to get going on the cheese and vegetable enchiladas fairly soon. Storyteller, would you kindly prep the quiche while I start brewing a few pots of tea?
Storyteller: Will do.
Nora: It's rather neat that we're prepping foods that originate from all over the world.
MN: Well, why not? Seeing as we all hail from various parts of the world, it's only fitting. And the way I see it, we're not only celebrating the U.S. today, but also the world.
Nora: But...this is way more food than we could ever eat.
Storyteller: So we share with everyone else. It's more fun that way. And judging from what I've heard about the food that Ed and the others are preparing, no one's going to go hungry tonight.

*In the common room kitchen... Aw man, there's a new hot dog eating champ.
Count: That's 129 hot dogs between the two of them!

*Clifford comes to talk about the ribs. Oh hey, it's the host of Muppets Tonight... Clifford!
Sorry bout that man. You huh? Nah, they're beef ribs, nothing to worry about. Just make sure Ryan posts more story today, we'll want something good to entertain us while we eat.
Count: Hexcuse me, but the owen fries are ready.
Thanks buddy. Now get going Clifford, that grill's waiting for some meat.

*Checks on the spiderweb frosting oatmeal scotch cookie cakes.

*Hears knocking. *Hollers through the emptied trashcan in the common room, we're upstairs!
Wonder if that was Prairie. Oh well. Count, keep an eye out for Bryan, he said he'd get the sesame seed buns and help with the gril. Bert and Ernie might be coming by later with the ice cream from Hooper's too.
Count: *Dipping a few fries in the mayotard-catsup sauce, yes sir.

Me: *sigh*
Lou: What is it?
Well, the party I was supposed to go to is cancelled. So now we'll be going to my aunt's house, which probably means I'll be back sooner, but I can't really be too sure.
Wembly: Will you still come to the party here?
Yes, if I can, but you go and have a good time, and one way or another, I'll see you later.
Gobo: Okay then, let's go!
Well, I don't think it's actually started; some people are just now preparing.
*gets an idea* Say Lou or Gobo?
both: Yes?
Could one of you run down to the gorg's garden, and get me one or two nice fresh raddishes?
Lou: Sure, I'll go. I've been there with Mokey before, and she showed me how it's done. Shouldn't be too hard though, now that the gorgs know us better.
Thanks Lou, I know it's kind of a lot to ask at the last minute.
Lou: No trouble at all!

*two and a half hours later...*

There, now I've done my part. I hope everyone likes a nice Greek salad as much as I do!
Gobo: Boy, it sure looks good!
Thanks. Say, I probably won't be here, so would the three of you please carry this dish down to the pool area for me? Oh, never mind. The Count and Ed are probably down there now, not to mention a lot of the other guys. I'll just cary it down now. Thanks again for the help.
Lou: No problem.

*I take the dish and bring it outside.*
