*After the bulbs have been flashed and photos taken. Hey Kelly? Would you want to, erm, dance?

*As they dance, some of the more beautiful music from the labyrinth begins to play. Bubbles eminate from some of the side vents, just floating there, quietly and not like they're any threat or anything.
Count and Uncle D both find their dance cards filled as some of the female fiends drag them onto the floor in a teasing sort of way.

Me: You know... This place has an aquiferous atmosphere all of a sudden. And yet, I feel calm or soothed, not fearful as I am of being underwater at all.
*Continues to sweep gracefully with Kelly in time to the chords of the magical music.

Kelly (laughs): Yes, we're in no danger here. Only a fool would dare defy me at the moment. *giggles* I would suggest meditation to help with concerns over water. You'll drown more quickly if you panic, you know. I can try to slow everything down until I can come up with a solution to an underwater predicament. It gives the brain less of a hunger for precious oxygen.

Heh... If I didn't know better, I'd think I had the ruler of torrential Moraine, the very Queen of Cups herself here with me. *Continues dancing as long as the music's playing.

Kelly (smiles): When I was young, my mother and father stayed in a hotel here in Texas. I was being taught to swim. I had one of those little inflatable rings to keep me afloat. I jumped off of the side of the pool and into the water, but slipped through the ring and landed on the pool floor. I opened my eyes and looked around. I thought it strange that I had ended up in a room with concrete walls. I kept breathing but felt it odd that the air felt so heavy. It was only when I looked up and saw the numbers on the sides labeling the depth and the kicking feet above me that I realized what had happened. My mother grabbed my arm and pulled me up and I coughed and hacked something terrible. It seemed like such an eternity to me, but she said it was only a second or two. *laughs* Maybe I am from Moraine, after all, right?

Mmm, something similar happened to me. Our neighbors on both sides have swimming pools... On one occasion, before learning about swimming, there was a party at one of their houses and all us kids were in the pool. Noticing that they had all went over to the other end, I followed... By simply walking along the interior flooring of the pool itself, which got me from the shallow to the deep end. All I remember was seeing blue around me... Then my father dove in and pulled me out quickly. *Sweeps some hair out of my eyes. That's why I prefer to have some flotation device when going to pools or water slide parks, though I haven't gone in ages. *Dips Kelly in a fancy arclike move, raising her a second after. *Finishes the dance to applause around them. Oh... Thanks. *Lets Kelly lead on.

Count and Uncle D are back at their table sipping at their goblets of bubbly soda, chatting lightly.

Kelly: Intriguing. Let's sit out for a bit, catch our breath, and taste some divine refreshments, shall we? *leads Ed to a decked-out buffet table and bar, which hands out virgin drinks*

Indeed. Bit peckish around now. *Grimaces. *Fills goblet with bubbly soda and a second one with Kelly's drink while the orders are placed.

A furry blue monster runs hither and yon, his maroon tuxedo jacket and matching velvet slacks a blurr. "In a minute, sir" can be heard issueing from the over-worked waiter, his intensions always to serve his customers. That hasn't changed at this ball... He wonders just who to present the bill to when the party ends though. Putting such thoughts away, he brings the appetizers to each table, the kitchenmaster assuring him the heavier stuff will be dispensed soon after.

Kelly (thanks the monster and takes the food: beef shish-ka-bobs with peppers and onions and tomatoes): Oh, naturally, my guests don't have to pay. The economy isn't exactly like the human world. Goblins typically take stuff like discarded boots and other materials and sell them to the highest bidder here. It's mostly barter. Besides, it's my party, and it's free if I want it to be. *grins*
