I have CHICKENS!!!!

I wasn't expecting anything else, I was just....Suprised. See, I was raised as a city girl, and we just moved way out here, (2 miles beyond the borders of the known universe, like my location says), a few years ago. My Dad grew up out in the country, (this tiny little nobody's ever heard of), and over the past few years he's gone into this cowboy/farmer/simple life phase. It's all rather odd......
Actually, we're not allowed to name them. Dad thinks it'll make us think of them more as PETS, and not food. (Oh, and I can tell you I'M not cleaning up after them!!!)
....I'm going to KFC, too!!!! I call shotgun!!!!!

You know Sunday when i was coming home with my parents from church i saw a stop sign (WOW, i saw a stop sign!) and it had a little sticker that said "Eatting Animals"

stop eatting animals! i used to be a vegitaren(sp) but now i just eat like chicken,turkery and fish, although they say "fish isn't meat/but it is" ya know? i can't stand steak or pork or anything like that.

I like chickens... did I say that out loud?

No, really. I like the idea of having chickens, especially ones that lay the naturally pink and blue and green eggs. And I love the idea of having a rooster for an alarm clock.

I grew up in the suburbs so farm stuff has a sort of mysterious quality to it. I wonder if a chicken CAN be a pet? Would it like to be petted?

A real farmer would be disgusted with me.
