Beth, I have to tell you this. i just read that you bought your wedding dress (congrats, by the way) and I went "Ohhhhhhhhhhhh!" And my cousin came into my room and said "What?" So I said "Well, she just bought her wedding dress" And she said "Oh, I thought it was something bad..."

Anyway, I thought it was funny. I'll stop rambling now.

Hey everyone! Well Ziffel, if you're a day behind me, did it cool off in Pennsylvania yet?
Sure did! 84 and a little less muggy. Tomorrow will be even better. 82 and some further relief of the humidity. But by early next week I heard a nasty word in the forecast - STICKY!
I know it's a huge cliche but it's SOOOOOO true!: "It's not the heat, it's the humidity." Humidity with the heat is about as annoying as wind with the cold.
Burger and cheese fries for dinner. (I typed cheese FIRES at first. That would have been a silly typo!)

Same thing. Either, Either. Neither, Neither.
Actually not! You can have Dinner at Lunch Time, but you can't have Supper at lunch time. In the UK Dinner often refers to the Main meal of the day, which can be at Lunch or Dinner/supper time. Tea refers to a light meal in the late afternoon, Supper refers to a main meal in the late afternoon/early evening. Dinner refers to a main meal at lunch time, and lunch reers to a light meal at lunch time. Supper can also be a bed-time snack!

When I say Dinner, I mean main-meal-lunch, when I say tea, I mean either Tea, or a Cup of Tea, or Iced Tea...wait...that's another person...when I say Supper I am ALWAYS refering to a snack after tea before bed.

*wipes foreheard*

Right, where were we?

:excited: Ooooh! Beth bought her weding dress. We wanna see, we wanna see! :excited:

And also someone here in the USA that was in the military once told me that in the service they called the 3 meals breakfast, dinner, and supper. But yeah when I was a kid my parents always called it breakfast, lunch, and then used dinner or supper interchangeably for the evening meal.
A brief little aside Beau: Just curious if you follow the Wimbledon Tennis Match. I see tomorrow we have another classic final match with the top 2 players today, Roddick and Federer. And that today in the women's final Venus Williams pulled it out against Lindsay Davenport. I enjoy watching (and playing) tennis but I tuned in more often back when McEnroe and Connors were there (Not just because of their awesome tennis skills but also because of their temper tantrums and chewing out the line judges!).

You had a seizure? I'm so sorry to hear that Kathy, I hope you're okay. While, I've never experienced seizures before, I understand some are capable of having one hospitalized. What's it like to experience a seizure? Anyway, hope you're doing okay Katz!

P.S. I L-O-V-E bowling!

Hey, you bowl too? That's great! Of course, I'm used to a much different form of bowling. Up here, there's no finger holes in the balls. But anyway, I digress. Sorry to hear about the seizure. Glad the game went well!

That must be why whenever I find an Ed, Edd n Eddy ball on eBay, they're non-holed balls. Of course, I understand the show is produced in Vancouver (sp?)

Glad you're okay, Katzi. Interestingly I used to work with a guy who was also right about your age and he would have a minor siezure once in a while. What makes it all the more interesting is he LOVED bowling. It was definitely his favorite hobby, he bowled every weekend either in league play or for personal fun, and he subscribed to a bowling magazine (I know because he always brought them in to read on breaks!). I always liked the game but haven't been for a long time. Bowled in a league from about age 12-14. On my 6th or 7th birthday mama took me and about 7 of my little friends out bowling. I think it was duck pins! (remember those? ). We all bowled scores in the range of 40-52! I recall everyone marveling at the boy who bowled a 52!
Well, I've gone on enough here so I'll SPARE you any more. Just thought I'd STRIKE up a convo about that. But don't worry. I'll get on the BALL here and not get PINNED down in this topic. Okay, I better SPLIT!
