Elmo is your friend... Stop disliking Elmo!! You need to get over your little phase of not liking Elmo. There would be no SS without Elmo... so get over it.

It's not that I hate Elmo, I just think in the past few years he's been stealing the spot light, i think when kids watch Sesame Street they should be looking forward to seeing Big Bird, Elmo, Bert & Ernie, The Count, and in general more than just one character, which it seems like they're trying to make Elmo the sole star of the show

You may not believe this furryredmonster, er Blondie, er whatever, but there was once upon a time where there WAS NO Elmo at all! Sesame Street began all the way in 1969. Elmo didn't become an official cast member till 1985 (I know he's been around longer than that, but according to Sesame Workshop, that's the year he official became Elmo).

According to different sources, The Count didn't appear on the show until the 1970-1971 season.

This list is spot on except for The Count. He did not appear in the first season.

Yeah The Count First appeared in Season 4 in the premiere.(1972)

As to the Elmo subject..... I wont touch it, Ive done it before, and thats enough.
