Happy birthday Uncle Deadly. Hope you're not upset that :batty: is getting the love today because of the special Jerry Nelson tribute episode on Sesame Street.
UD: Of corpse not... A celebration of Jerry is important to me as well. Now if only one of my songs were featured as part of the Jerry-thon on MCR, that would be nice.
Can't control that... But let's kick back and watch the special tribute episode. *Serves the birthday dragon a big piece of the chocolate bat brownies for breakfast.

talking to my room mates (except Robin because he's at school) I had given Robin the choice to stay home today because that Jerry Nelson tribute was on Sesame Street. But he said no. He figured they wouldn't do anything about The Muppet Show.

:sympathy: Wasn't he upset about somethin' else this mornin' too?
Yeah.. but I think he snapped out of it after we talked. See, the kids can't dress up for Halloween in Hensonville Middle School or you'll get in trouble with the principal.
Prairie: How much trouble?
A note sent home to me and in school suspension.
Everyone gasps
:hungry: Wow dey dunt fool arund enymore du they?

No. A few of his friends were going to just dye their hair green and wear orange shirts with jack O'Lanterns on them but he couldn't find an orange shirt . So he settled for a black one. And I told him he could trick or treat when he gets home without getting into trouble.

What?!? At least his trick-or-treat route won't be confined to the school cafeteria. Man, that just makes me appreciate my high school's mostly casual ware approach all the more.
BTW: The episode was taped just before the 2012 JHC holiday party, there's a photo at the Muppet Wiki in the article titled "Count von Count Impersonators" with a whole bunch of the SST gang in Count costumes.

:insatiable: Okay, me think the ppumpkin cookies are ready, me just gotta check on the chocolate chip spiders.
*Uncle D is in the bat-room getting ready for a grand time down at the Bat, Bolt & Skull's annual frightfest.

OOC: Well SOME schools are like the one I mentioned Robin's school . Looking back I shouldn't have made Robin's school like that.
Anyway
Robin runs through the door and grabs a (still hot) pumpkin chocolate chip cookie : YAY! Now I can get into my vampire cos..OHMYGOSHISTHIS HOT!!fanning mouth

Well no one told you to grab one! Breathe easy! Want water?

Robin nods fanning his mouth slower then taking a sip I'm okay now. Whew! Now what I was saying was I can get into my vampire costume . Can you help me with the cape Mom?

Sure! As long as you don't bite me with your fangs.

Robin: Fangs? Oh MOM! Hey..is the Scare Crew home I want to show them my costume.

They might be, but there was that thing to celebrate Jerry Nelson. So I don't know if they're out. Plus it's Uncle D's birthday. .You can show them later.

Robin: OK. Hey.. here comes Bobby!

Robin's friend Bobby is dressed as Freddy Krueger: Hi Mrs. H! Trick or treat!

just wondering what he'd do Trick!

Bobby: Huh?

No....just kidding! Pick out something you'd like. Same thing for you Count Frogula. And just ONE! I KNOW you Robin! Have fun guys!

:insatiable: Oh boy, me got to get some of those peanut butter chocolate cookies from David's!
*Cookie's watching a show called Unique Eats on Cooking Channel.

Hi Robin, hello Bobby.
*Hands off a Snickers to the vamphibian and a baggie of the candied nut clusters to the ursine dream demon.
BTW: The party's going to be long-lasting so anyone who's interested can drop in, after all, as we like to say... The more the scarier.
*Insert Vincent Price laugh.

*Downstairs in Apt 1, after Cookie eats the last of the sugar skulls...

Oh wow, Once Upon a Time is getting so epicly awesome! It reminded me why I <3 Ariel all over again.
UD: Did Ursula make an appearance, her usual delightful villainous self?
No and yes.
UD: What, you've lost me.
Okay to sum up... The story with Ariel happened in flashback past-timeline, her meeting Snow White who was running from Regina. They gave Ariel the power that merfolk should have, turning from mermaid to human out of water and then needing a splash of water to regain their tails.
UD: Ah, like miss Madison.
Yes... But Ariel said that the power had been granted by Ursula and it lasted until high tide and the sea-witch was treated more like an absent deity mythic figure.
UD: Now that's intriguing.
Regina then passed herself off as Ursula to an unwitting Ariel, giving her a bracelet that would allow her to keep her legs forever while Snow got the fishtail. After the battle, Snow sent Ariel to find Eric and tell him the truth, but she never got the chance... Because Regina stole her voice. And then Ursula did actually appear.
UD: What?!
And she was mad with Regina for the charade perpetrated on one of her "children".
UD: That's assuming we're going with the storyline of the sea-witch being the mermaid's aunt as it is in the Broadway musical.
But it gets better.
UD: Better how?
After saving Rumple from a false image of Belle, Regina re-summons Ariel giving her voice back so she can help in taking Rumple back to his shop to get a magical item needed to combat Peter Pan.
UD: How can they do that?
*Grins at the old King's Quest memory the dragon just unknowingly evoked.
Because Ariel apparently has the added power of traveling to lost realms... Further tieing both Once Upon franchises with the Kingdom Hearts vibe/in-universe connectivity. Regina also promised she could reunite Ariel with Eric as he's another of the Storybrook residents. The only thing I don't know at this time is how does Ashlyn/Cinderella connect Storybrook with the Wonderland spin-off series where Jafar's finally starting an active campaign of cruelty against the gentry.

Wonder what Kelly thinks of all this as we now have multiple outs to bring in Labyrinth and whatever other plausible franchise, either by the White Rabbit's magic tunnel burrowing or Ariel's ability to reach any realm which could land her in the grand lake of Moraine.
UD: Before Mizumi's father, the black heron poisoned it of corpse.
Fright. It wouldn't do to have Ariel show up in that lake only to suffer enfirmity that would cripple her world-swimming powers.

Kelly: I've been so busy at work I'm behind on Once as well as my fanfic. Maybe when I have to go to Houston for a business meeting I'll try to catch up.

Hee... Sounds good. Neverland gets an episode tomorrow, but now we know more about Jafar's backstory in both Aggrava and Wonderland.
UD: Yes indeed... They really reinforced his snakish motive what with training under and eventually betraying his sorceress teacher Amara, turning her into the serpent of his staff.
Turns out Jafar's forcing genie owners to use up their three wishes so he can then take possession of said genies when they're in between masters, needing to collect three total to pull off a massive world-conquering empowerment spell.

UD: As if that'd end well for him.
What I'm thinking is that he's going to need a philosopher's stone to pool the genies' magic... And that spellbook of Amara's could contian the spell for such a baubble's creation... Which would make further fannishly speculate it contains the imprisoned Khartoum from the Aladdin animated series.

Kelly (drools at computer)

Spike: Wow.

Kelly (nearly about to get all misty-eyed): It's ... it's ... it's gorgeous.

Spike: Amazin' da Jolie chick looks so much like her.

Kelly (high-pitched squeal): MALEFICIENT! MALEFICIENT!

Heh, sounds like Kelly found the new Maleficent trailer.

BTW: Best thing about Once Upon a Time... The item they'll use to attempt to fight/defeat Peter Pan? Pandora's Box. That means... Opening for Hercules, but more importantly... #00, ol' hothead himself, Hades could now theoretically be brought into the franchise. *Hopes for this plus a Hades/Maleficent ship storyline in Season 3's second half.
This TV season has rully brought me back into watching seriously good series, what with Arrow, Sleepy Hollow, and both Once Upon programs.

Meanwhile... Count and Uncle Deadly are playing wizard duels, one armed with a replica of Draco Malfoi's and the other with Professor Snape's wands.
