Chapter Fifteen
Late Springtime - 2004
"How do you think this movie is going to go over, Scooter?" Kermit asked as he was walking around the sets outside. Scooter still had on his Assistant costume on, and had the jacket unbuttoned, it was quite hot outside.
"Well...I think it'll go great boss!" He replied, quite happy with how it's been going.
"But...Scooter. Honestly. Tell me what you think about it?" He replied, getting exhasperated.
"...um...I think it'll go well. But...we can't really be sure, Kermit. We've got to see what happens with the test group and everything. But...I'm just not sure how it will work." He replied back, frowning softly. "I just hope they take it well."
"We can only hope, Scooter." He stratched his face lightly. "I hate this makeup.."
"At least you can see!" Scooter frowned, as he took off his green lensed glasses, and put on his normal ones. "That's a whole lot better."
Sara stepped through the throng of muppets and stepped on Fozzie's tail, and he fell forwards when he tried to walk.
"Oh, I'm so sorry Fozzie!! I didn't mean to do that!" She exclaimed, as he stood up and gently pulled at the tail, to get the footprint off of it.
"That's okay. It's just a costume anyways. I didn't feel anything. How are you doing though??" He asked her, smiling through the furry suit he wore to portray him as the lion.
"I'm doing fine, Fozzie. Thanks. Where's Scooter?" She asked him.
"He's over there. Bright green costume, can't miss him! Wocka wocka!" He said, happily.
"Thanks!" She trotted over towards him, smirking. "Hello there, short, green and handsome!"
"Oh, hey Sara!" Kermit said, smiling through his thick facial costume.
"I meant Scooter, Kermit!" She said, laughing. She leaned down and gave Scooter a huge hug, and a kiss on the cheek. "How ya doing?"
"Fine. Have you seen Doc or Emily around here lately?" He asked her, frowning. "I wonder if they've finally gone back to the farmhouse.."
"Yeah...I was wondering too.." Sara said, frowning softly.

"Are you sure you're alright, Emily??" Jerome asked, sitting at her bedside. She had been sick for quite awhile now, and was coughing deeply just then.
"I'll...*COUGH*...be just fine, Jerome...I just need to rest, that's all." She said, looking down at his hands.
"I could call the doctor again.." He said, softly.
"There's no need for that, Jerome." Emily said simply, smiling gently. "Why don't you and Sprocket come up here, into the bed, give me some snuggly company?"
"Sure..I guess." He and Sprocket slowly got into the bed, Jerome laying on top of the covers, and Sprocket at their feet. Emily snuggled down onto Jerome's chest, and smiled.
"Thank you Jerome.." She said softly.
"Your welcome, Emily...but...what's happening? You certainly aren't well...I can tell that.." He said gently, brushing her gray hair out of her eyes, as she laid on his chest.
Unbeknownest to them, a small creature were standing by the door. He was only as tall as Doc's knee, and had bright bushy red hair. He was going to Emily's kitchen to get some of the radishes that she always left out for them to get, but he stopped to watch them.
"Something's wrong..." He said to himself, as he inched inside the room. "Maybe I should get the guys...no...I'll tell them later when I get back." He said with a finality, as he stayed by the door watching them closely.
Emily sighed softly, smiling; as she closed her eyes. She went to sleep on Jerome's chest, smiling.
