Can’t say I have. Love grilled cheeses, especially with turkey or bacon, but never mayo.
Might not be bad...
Once upon a time I couldn’t stand mayo. But sometimes in the hospital all they’ll give you is a turkey sandwich. And it will be so dry you need the mayo to get it down.

You don't put anything on grilled cheese: not mayo, not tomatoes, not lettuce, not onions *cough*my mom*cough*. You just put cheese on, nothing else.

Just like you don't put ketchup or mustard on peanut butter and jelly.

I didn’t mean mayo as like a topping - no, I meant basically as a spread for the bread, as you would normally use butter for.

If you’re using anything else for a grilled cheese then it pretty much becomes a sandwich melt.
