Another reason not to go to the hospital right now.
The two biggest hospitals near me have set up triage units outside. Right now, anyone showing mild symptoms will be put on the back burner to treat more severe cases. And if you drive to the hospital, someone coming in an ambulance will get top priority.

And even though it’s been over a year since my last hospital stay, even under the best of circumstances, getting admitted in the hospital takes a looooooonnnnnnggggggg time.
There’s quite a few people who want me to pray for loved ones who tested positive. I’ll add your mom to my growing list. But if she can get tested first, that will give you both peace of mind.

You can't trust anything that mental pygmy says.
Never miss an opportunity to blame President Trump.

First, the blame lies with the couple, who took the fish tank cleaner, despite it not being the same thing and saying right on the label, "DO NOT CONSUME"

Second, the drug hydroxyl chloroquine is showing very promising results in combination with the Z-pack, in treating people with the virus. It is currently being used in test cases, but the results from China and other countries so far is very promising. But it is very early. This could be a real game changer if it works. But do not just take it at home.

Put your hate aside and celebrate some promising news. Your hate for President Trump outweighs any potential good news that could potentially save millions of lives. Just unbelievable and sad.

My mom is showing mild symptoms of the virus... :smirk: The problem is, she can't go to the hospital because my hospital is only accepting patients with severe symptoms! This is scary af...
You stay safe yourself. The majority of cases result in nothing more than flu or cold like symptoms. But I can definitely see how it is scary af. Keep in contact with healthcare provider, especially if her symptoms get worse.

You are in my thoughs and prayers. Hoping for better health for her and keep us posted.

The World Health Organization has a recommendation for mental health: only check the news once or twice a day.

Don’t go to the hospital just yet. In your state, look for a testing site. Quest Diagnostics, LabCorp. Every state varies. But you’ll get a better assessment than a hospital. And save some worry.
The problem is, my county doesn't have enough tests available yet! In the next week or so, they should be up to speed. We'll definitely go get her tested then.
Hope the best for you and your mother.
Thank you, Any Del!

All the Chinese food places in my area are closed. I wonder if that's just a coincidence...

Honestly, unless it is severe, it is recommended that people with mild symptoms not go out and get tested. Certainly consult a medical professional remotely before deciding, but you can run the risk of infecting others if you have it or getting infected if you don't. If the symptoms are mild, knowing what she had will not change anything. 80% of cases require no medical treatment at all, so the odds are pretty good right now.
