That's me - I'll be your guide for this magical journey into the movies! Is everybody ready?

I've moved back to Minnesota for school, but will move back for good in January, becoming a part time "Movie Rider".

What pins are rare now? They just released a mission: space opening day cast pin, but aside from that I've been out of the loop for a few weeks now, it's a little hard to keep track.

50? wow....you can do both, right? Dad wants to go back, because we've only seen one version. Are there major differences between the two?

Yeah, we're all trained to do gangster and bandit shows. The only major difference between the 2 is who you get hijacked by. Either you pass through the gangster scene and get hijacked by a cowboy or cowgirl ("bandit") or you get hijacked by the gangster and then pass through the western scene. I like the "bandit" show better, personally. Just when you get in line, ask if they're running a bandit show (I'll assume that's the one you haven't seen, due to the way the ride is designed we can have gangsters but no bandits - not the opposite way around), and they'll tell you how to get onto that version.

Maybe while you're down there you can ride my show! I should be back there working there again the week between Christmas and New Year's.

you're right! ding ding ding!

we'll have to do that! I would rather ride the bandit, myself!

sorry to be oh so annoying, but when I get curious, I must know every detail....are you also trained the be the original tour guide? and what does the original guide do while the 'hijacker' is leading the guests through?

*not going to admit she got scared because the alien dripped on her*

I should clarify myself - I don't play the gangster or the bandit, only the tour guide (but all of us are trained to do both versions of the tour guide's role.) After a while they may train me to play a bandit or a gangster, but that's another step away. We have to be fully gun trained (those are real guns we use), and they don't want to invest money into someone who hasn't been there for 6 months (you know, just to make sure they're a good employee).

As far as what we do when we're hijacked, we only have about a couple of minutes - we can't go have a cigarette or anything like that - mostly, I just grab a quick glass of water (all that talking makes me parched!), put on my robe for the annubis scene (where I return) and sit down until my que to get out there. And since there's usually 2 drivers (one gangster, one bandit) who are up there, we usually have a quick conversation. That's all.

*not going to admit he laughed at sarah  Just kiddin - I never laugh at guests who are scared by the ride - I was there once too.*

that's neat-o! I've been pushing for MGM on the 30 or 31, so maybe, just maybe.....of course it will be a gamble....but it would be neat-o to have a tour guide I know...

real guns! :concern: is that for effect? I'm not seeing the reason....but that's why I don't work there (although I probably will)

Real guns are much more realistic than fake dimestore cap guns. We're all about making things as real as possible. Don't worry, the guns can only use blanks - they're modified so you can't have real bullets in there. Don't be :concern:.

When it gets closer to your vacation, we'll have to try to make plans to meet up. I'd love to perform for someone I know. :excited:
