hmm well maybe that was just a rumor...don't remember where i heard it...of course a new ride sequence isn't much....It may have been a rumor and I just figured it true when I saw it was going for rehab!

so it IS going to stitch? wheeee dad teases me because I've never ridden it, but now I will, next time (and with this family, this won't be the last)

I hope the water parks switch while we're there....we could still visit both...I believe last year they switched on the 28....

There's no official word on if it's going to Stitch yet, but it's been reported by some sources that it's going down in October.

And Jeremy, do you know why Carousel of Progress was down? I was so disappointed when I got there and found out:frown:

I would LOVE to see the Haunted Mansion as Nightmare Before Christmas. That would be so cool. Do they just transform the outside, or the inside too?

CoP is just worn out - it can't take running full speed all year anymore. I wish they'd just sink some cash into and fix it up for good. They spent a full Million on the Movie Ride and it still doesn't work correctly... but it's much better than it was before.

I think they may put some cash into it so they'll have it open while Space Mountain and Alien Encounter are down - otherwise it'll be a ghost town in Tomorrowland.

Disneyland and Disney World have to be among the best places in the world! They are soo great! :excited:

Is the nightmare before Christmas a Disney movie?
Are they really going to change the haunted mansion ride?
I went on that ride at Disneyland in 1994 and loved it, It would actually be sad if they changed it all forever.

They just alter it for the the Christmas Season. There are no plans to forever alter it to a Nightmare Before Christmas theme. I don't think they would ever do that to the H.M.

It should be. It's almost always open at peak times- Thanksgiving, christmas - New Year's, easter, and summer.

I went on-line and bought 10 pins for trading on E-Bay...they were less than $20! A lot better than $6.50 a pin (the usual price)

Hey...what are the pins for??? We are going next May and I am already excited!!!!!

The new big thing at WDW is pin trading. They've released pins for all sorts of different things - pins of characters, pins of attractions, pins of movies, etc etc. A lot of Cast Members wear these pins around their neck on a lanyard, and if you see one they have that you like, you can do a 1-1 trade for it. As long as you're offering an eligible Disney Pin, we can't say no. A lot of times Cast Members will get certain "cast only" or "lanyard" pins - cast only pins are ones we generally purchase on our own, so most of the time they don't make their way onto our lanyards, but "lanyard" pins come from manager pin packs, and are not released for sale to the public. Everybody thinks they're more valuable, but in reality they make so many of them that they aren't worth squat. I keep telling people this, but nobody listens. People came up to me all the time "Do you have any lanyard pins?" and before I could finish saying "No, sorry I don't", they were already running away.

However I feel pin trading is a whole lot of fun, and a lot of times cast members will tell you fun stories about their pins. For example, there was a Pinnochio pin where they accidentally gave him a green hat instead of a yellow one, and whenever I'd trade that one I'd always tell people that story.
