Our family has decided to try something new this year, give up presents and spend Christmas at WDW. We know it's going to be VERY crowded, but we know to use Fast Pass and since we have been there before, we don't have to ride every ride. I was just wondering if anyone else here has been there at that time, or if someone who works at WDW can give me some nice tips! We'll be staying at Pop Century.

I went on-line and bought 10 pins for trading on E-Bay...they were less than $20! A lot better than $6.50 a pin (the usual price)
Hi Sarah!
Like you said, WDW is crowded during the holidays.but it's absolutely beautiful and well worth dashing through the crowds!
Hope you enjoy it when the time comes.

As for Disney at Christmas, just try and plan out your day as well as possible with FastPass. Use them - cherish them.

Definitely get tickets for Candlelight Processional and Mickey's Very Merry Christmas parade.

And whatever you do - DON'T GO TO MK ON CHRISTMAS DAY! That's just asking for trouble.

Sadly, the Osbourne lights are no more this year, Residential street has been torn down to put in a new stunt show, but the parks will still be beautiful.

No fair, no fair. Why can't I go to WDW for christmas?

Only kidding, dear.

I hope you have a great time, I saw an advert for WDW at Christmas time on a video once it looks GREAT. I bet you'll have the time of your life.

Thanks for the advise Jeremyactor! new stunt show? why haven't I read about this?

last year I read Jodi Benson did narrate for part of the same dates I'll be there this year....wouldn't that be great....

Sarah's Must Ride List

You're leaving new year's morning? Hmmm... I should be returning to work during your stay.

Mission Space - awesome.
Philharmagic will be open in October, so you'll get to see it.
Tower of Terror - where did you hear that? I have friends who work at the ride and nobody knows anything about that... they are going down for a short rehab soon though...
Alien Encounter - goes down October 15th to incorporate Stitch into the ride - it'll be closed while you're there.
Haunted Mansion - it'll be up. Next year at Christmas they'll transform it into the Nightmare before Christmas Haunted Mansion.

They aren't going to do it this year? I saw the pictures of it done at DL, and it was amazing!

They wanted to test it out one more year at DL, but all signs point to next year at WDW.

hmm well maybe that was just a rumor...don't remember where i heard it...of course a new ride sequence isn't much....It may have been a rumor and I just figured it true when I saw it was going for rehab!

so it IS going to stitch? wheeee dad teases me because I've never ridden it, but now I will, next time (and with this family, this won't be the last)

I hope the water parks switch while we're there....we could still visit both...I believe last year they switched on the 28....
