Well, the postal system has been hit hard this year. In top of regular mail, Amazon ships a lot of product through the post office. A few years back, before Amazon got as big as it is now, they made a deal with the post office to handle their freight at a discount rate.
Now that Amazon has exploded, they’re enjoying a nice discount of shipping goods while the post office has to do all the legwork. Good for Amazon, not so good for the post office.

And a certain orange buffoon slowing down the postal service back in the fall to try to discourage people from voting by mail.
