Really, wow. I got to check out what the old Chuckie looked like, just for laughs. The idea of a straw hat Rat, it kind of reminded me of this not so well known puppet kids show called "Swamp Critters". lol

I think as a kid when I seen those robotic characters, I sort of wanted to get up that stage and examen them to figure out what makes them tic. lol
As young as I was back then, I totally knew they weren't real. I'm sure if I was that age again, I'd be shocked if any kid my age back them thought those poorly animated animatronics were real. lol
They moved so stiff. lol

I like old commercials myself, esspecially of francises that I remembered back in the 90s and seeing that they were order than my generation. For example, I've seen the very first Ronald McDonald commercial. It's just a guy dressed as a clown with giant pants that is built like a tray for bugers, fries and shakes with a paper up for a nose. "I like doing what all little boys and girls like to do, especially when it comes to eating McDonalds Burgers, Fries and Shakes, just like all little boys and girls like to do." lol I would just love to read about who wrote these bad commercials, see their resume and figured out how they got there. Even the writers of Howdey Doody. Now I know there's a bunch of people who like Howdey Doody, But to me it's just commercials and advertising to kids.

It kind of reminds me of this episode of Dinosaurs when Baby Sinclair is watching Captian Action figure and he tells Fran, "Not Commercial, Children's Programing!" lol Great Satire! lol

Not only am I surprised this hasn't been taken down yet, but also because apparently my comment is the second-highest rated.

Yeah... then they gave him a baseball cap to look younger, then a bike Helmet to look extreme... it's all about getting little brats in to drag their parents into spending money.

But even then, there's just something about Straw Hat carny Chuckie Cheese (which was just before my time anyway... or at least around my time, and there never was one near me until the 90's) that had crazy, campy fun written all over it.

Anyone been there recently? Do they still actually have arcade games, or just those lame things you play to win tickets? Those things keep getting lamer.

HA HA HA, OH YEAH! I REMEMBER That Dexter. Which also reminds me of Bloaty's Pizza Hog from Invader Zim lol Gaz wants to go but Dib is busy trying to stop Zim. God what great shows. lol I wish WB released the rest of Dexter's Laboratory. I still need to buy myself season 1, still trying to find employment so I can add some of these wonderful shows to my DVD collection.

Last time I went was in the 90s or maybe 2001 or so when I seen the lame knock off puppet versions of Wayne and Wanda on their TV screen. I think me and my best friend walked in there because we went with my landlord's kids and they had fun and we didn't. lol

But I think the last few things I remember was a friend that I knew from Middle School worked there for awhile. Sad how people change. He went from a good nerd who heckled paranormal stuff to this gangsta kid. I gave him my number a few times but never called me. We went from talking super intellectual to all this gangsta slang, Sad guy. lol

And anyone ever heard the news that Chuckie was going to sell beer and liqour drinks then they got sued and stuff like that? If not, it must have only been in New England where I'm at.

I remember their pizza. Their meatballs were tiny and the whole dang thing was stail. Even though I love eating overnight pizza and popcorn, CC pizza is super nasty. lol

Anyone remember the ol' Family bit when you were a kid and your parents said "Finish your pizza then you can play video games." or something like that.

I'm just rambing whatever CC memories are in my brain. lol

But yeah, commercialism towards children has been a part of America since TV begin. Howdy Doody, 80s Saturday Morning Cartoons, and I'm not aware of anything today since I don't have cable and just stick to the net and my huge beautiful DVD collection. lol But from time to time I walk in Wal-Mart or where ever and looking at the toy section thinking, WOW, These toys look unfun. And I grew up with ZBots and Furreal Cats (which Scared me when they hissed). lol
But thank God there's no more Furbies. Though I won't mind getting the Gizmo one, since I'm a HUGE Gremlins fan. lol

Well it wasn't just a guy, it was Willard Scott.

Yeah... and the only reason why we even HAVE a Ronald McDonald was that McDonalds used to have appearances by local Bozo the Clowns, and just wanted their own clown.

Oh dear god, kill it with acid on fire and throw it in a pit of spikes...

So does this mean they are doing away with the walk around Chuc
kie? I can't possibly imagine making a costume out of THAT thing. Although I wouldn't mind owning that guitar. Not a huge fan of Les Pauls, but thats a nice color...what?

I hope they do not do a new walk around thing.... I have a strong dislike for them...
