Ask Ken at Palisades

Of course ya'll realize... if Palisades actually makes all these linking playsets we're talking about here(Theatre Box/Prop Closet, Back Stage, Dressing Room) we're all going to need an extra table to display the completed stage on. This could eat up more space than some of those "Christmas Villages"

I don't know if I should bang my head on the wall for passing up this figure.

The other day I was in my local EB store here in Canada I might add... anyhow I was actually looking for a game for my computer when behold on the pegs all to himself was the "Darkness Figure". I know some of you guys earlier on were looking for him and someone even said he wasn't for sale in Canada. Well lads and ladies, there he was. I didn't buy him cause I am not big into the whole "Maniac Line", although Legend is one of my fav movies. So to all that are looking for him, he is out there. From what I can tell though, his hoves look a little small. Also I think he should have come with a severed unicorn horn. (At least I am sure he didn't. I just saw a big sword). So is he really that hard to find? Perhaps EB online will take orders?

Hey Hairfarmer! I just checked out your drawing of the possible stage. It helped me actually visualize the whole thing once I was able to see it on paper. I like it a lot! Got any more?
Great ideas by all. I though tend to agree that the playset will be on the medium size of the scale. I can't really see Palisades making something huge... cause I am sure that they have to factor in shipping costs on their end to retailers, ect... Also I think that a large playset would mean a "larger price" which might turn away buyers. I would be happy with a playset that could easily incorporate a few figures to display and I like the idea of the curtains. Fabric would be great if possible or textured soft plastic. The thought on the sets that would connect is great as well. If any of you have seen the ads for the Harry Potter Lego set of Hogwarts, you'll know that additional smaller sets such as The room with Winged keys and Fluffy all add on to the larger Hogwart's castle, and expand it. I think that this same idea would work great with the Muppet Playset. Although the smaller add on sets would have to be appealing on their own for those that don't want the Stage. ( whoever those dumb butts would be)

I get where you are going with the sketch, Hair...but I think I will have to still find a middle ground between that and a full fledged playset. Anything modular will have a lot of inherent problems.

Been logging some of the suggestions here...will keep you posted on what happens with this thing.

I know this is a little late to post this, but I finally got the Muppet Labs playset. (Personally it's one of the coolest things I've ever bought, and I display it proudly next to my Spumco's Jimmy the Idoit boy plush and my Mike Wazowski talking toy) I just want to know what you think of this. I bought mine at an EBX store (it's Electronics Boutique, apparently the addition of the letter "X" is suppost to make ths store sound cooler!) and well, pay attention cuz I'm coming up to the point. They placed it on a high shelf, meare feet from the celing, too high to be reached, so I had to ask one of the employees to get it down. What do you think of that? I feel it could hurt sales!

This is the only place I've seen the Labs at any EB I've been to. Were I not looking for it, I would never see it. Unfortunately, most EB stores are not set up well for pushing Action Figures -- especially the over-sized figures and/or playsets. So anything large usually gets put in the storage shelves over the main wall displays of normal-sized figures.

And Sam T. Eagle if you are still here, I went back and looked at your former posts and saw no evidence of improper treatment within the "Ask Ken" thread -- especially not from Ken. You made a request that he had a legitimate reason for not responding to. There was no jerking around then or before.

EB IS bad at displaying the playsets...at least the beaker's lab set..I never even saw it in stores...you have to ask about it...which could hurt sales...but I guess it depends on the size of the store too....

Yeah the more I look at it the less I think it would be feasable myself. Besides, like I said(I can't remember if it was here or over at Palisades) I think more figurally than architechurally. Oh, and BC-Fraggle, my avatar is a crop of one of my sketches as well, does that count as more?

It's not that I mind, mind you. It's just I was afraid the guy would drop it, or something would be broken in the set and I'd have to say..."Uh...I'd like another one." But really. If it were something like Digimon or Yugioh, they'd be falling all over themselves trying to find better places to put them!
