We should have a "I'm Not Ken Smilie But I'm Answering For Him" Smile

I believe Ken said Target will have the Swedish Chef Kitchen Playset but packaged in a Blue Box (The new one) rather than the old red one, the same goes for Mega Beaker.

Yeah, it is wonderful that the Megas will be carried in a major store where people can see them in person instead of just a picture on-line.

I remember reading that now. Thanks for filling in for Ken. Very good news indeed.

Hehe. hey King Prawn, speakign of the "I'm not Ken, but I'm filling in for him" smilie. I could put one here for your question.

When Ken FIRST planned S5, Koozebane was the first playset he wanted to do there. Then when they got the rights to the movies, that was bumped to S6 and the EM bus was planned for S5 with Janice packed into it. Difficulty plaaning the bus plus the dip in playset sales altered that a bit so there would only be 2 playsets this year not 4. Also, fomr Day 1, there was a plan to do a Muppet Thetaer playset with Statler and Waldorf. this is back when there were only 4 series planned, and they were all supposed to be for the TMS 25th anniv. the playsets were supposed go...

s1: Muppet Labs w/ Beaker
S2: EM stage with Animal
S3; Swedish kithcen w/ chef
S4: Pigs in Space w/ Link and a deluxe thater playset w/ Stat and Waldo

As things slowly got pushed back, the theater got pushed back to S6 and Staler and Waldorf got pushed into the regular lineup. Ironically, they have both gotten pushedinto S6 and no playset to show for it. oh well. Hope this helps.

Can you see how much we need that smilie

anyway Matleo I kind of figured that, i know S5 would have been the Koozbane playset but i was unsure of S6, I know an EM Bus was planned but i thought it took up S5 and the Koozbane Playset turned into what we're getting, also i figured the thearter would not have been in S6, why i don't know... anyway i'm rambling now, maybe we should also use a smilie for that one

You mean there were only 4 series originally planned? (hope that beaker smile shows up) That would have been horrible!!! I hope a Theater set still comes out though. At first I didn't think it would be all that cool, but then I saw a 3d rendition done by pxl at the palisades boards and that detailing that would go into it was so cool! I think the last playset in 2005 should be the theater. Put it out during christmas time and at the end of the line as a huge send off. Of course if the license gets renewed, there are still many others things to do.

HOLY Keeeerap! I can't believe that! That's over a year and a half. I am shocked that it has been that long. Hard to fathom...

Thanks for the history lesson!

And yeah it will be cool to see the MEGA figures in Target. Hope it does well and we can start on some 2004 MEGA figures. I'll know I guess a couple months after the first one ends up in Target whether the third one will get prototyped.

So I guess that means it would be too late to get a Mega for series 5 or 6 then. Oh well.

Has anyone seen Mega Animal in stores and Ken, is it true that Sun Coast and other Play Media (or whatever) stores won't carry mega Animal?
