I think the tapes are fine. I like the clapper though. The tapes could have fun titles on them and labels.

Thanks Kevin, that exact descript by Ken is what prompted my questions in the first place. Probably a sort of business-casual clad Clifford would be OK in my hazy vision of what the figure should be like. So if we're heart-set on the videotapes as accessories for Clifford, how can we expand on that concept? What sort of crazy pics, labels, titles, etc. could mark the tapes? What do you think the tapes should be of? (Pardon my sentence construction, it's under construction.) Would you like to see some sort of holder or shelf to store the tapes? What about a guitar, or are we deadset on nixing that as an accessory for Clifford? Post your thoughts.

So you're in favor of the Clifford figure coming with: removable glasses, old-style microphone, director's chair, and some sort of guitar? Then go over to the "Muppet Questions?" thread at the Palisades forum and make your bear-itone voice heard.

I have to sign in and all that. Just copy and paste my last post over and this one saying you can be my voice on the subject for this one vote. Someone there already has my Fozzie Bear name! :frown:

I'd have to assume that it isn't possible to swap the tapes for the Guitar - just for the reason that there is probably a budget to how much matierial Ken can use and how much space there is in the pack and swapping a tiny thing for a big thing is probably impossible. I guess if anything either the Guitar or Chair would have to be the big accessory and given all the other TV related accessories i think Ken chose right with the Directors Chair.

I like Jamie's idea of funny things being printed on the tape labels and covers - i don't mind eitherway, tapes or clapperboard. Both will be as cool as each other although clapper board may well have a bit more playability with Clifford holding it etc - probably look better in photos and things.

True enough there's already a "Fozzie Bear" ID member over at the Palisades forum. But if you're talking about the guy whose Id is "Fozzie Bear" and lives in Australia, then he's a member here too and there's no problem between the two of you thanks to your differing locations. You should sign up at the Palisades forum and join in on the wacky topics like Quinn/Gonzo's week-long customs and Adjm's Muppet Survivor. Hope this helps and have a good day.

Okay, I got it. Tapes would be cool - only if there could be a tiny monitor with a built-in VCR that the tapes would fit into. I know you probably wouldn't be able to change the image on the screen, but it would be fun anyway. Ooooh! I got an idea for Ken that would totally kill people!

Make a monitor, but have several different versions of it packed into each box. So, one monitor might have statler and Waldorf on screen, another could have Seymour and Pepe etc. It would increase the selling point of a Clifford figure.

Good idea Jamie but i'd much rather prefer that the tapes come in cases with fun cover art.

even if they used the movie parodies Henson already has i'd be happy:smile:
