Arthur - Where is the Show Going?

My local PBS dropped ARTHUR altogether a year or two ago.

Interesting, considering mine didn't even add ARTHUR to their permanent line-up until 2000; prior to that, they usually only aired it during pledge drives and such.

So not even the PBS Kids Channel in your area shows it anymore?

Just the 4:30am slot you mentioned. Likewise, it used to be 9:00 and 9:30 at night, but not anymore.

See, I thought that it was just a local affiliate decision or something. But turns out that it's the national feed.

Yeah, I'm not sure just how many out there still do that. My local PBS always had its own program scheduling up until about mid-2005 or so, then they, for whatever reason, decided to adopt a national schedule.

We have 5 PBS channels here (PBS, Explore, World, Create, and the PBS Kids channel), and I believe that we don't have much local programming at all.

We have those as well, but we have quite a few of our own locally-produced programs that they air, usually on our main PBS channel. We have an exercize program, a scholastic game show, a math homework help hotline (relatively new), an informational program with a TV doctor, and a Saturday morning showcase of old, public domain westerns. I've worked on some of these programs, usually behind one of the three cameras we have in the studio, back when I interned for them.

For local programs here, we have a game show and a outdoor show. Though we do have the exercise programs.
